lol OK, apparently the booster makes sod all difference to catching omicron and now we need a shot every 2-3 months

120,000 cases a day and yet 30-40 deaths
UK is at ~300 daily deaths, last time it was 30-40 was July, why do you keep misrepresenting the actual numbers? This is very weird.
i’m citing australia’s numbers you dumb fuck. i quoted you saying ‘people are dying’ and making out like you’re entering a hellscape. your deaths have upticked by about 10 or 20 a day whilst your cases have increased 300 fold.

re: U.K.  our 7 day average is 210, during the biggest ever peak in cases. previous two case waves were significantly higher in deaths. what could have made the difference considering this time we didn’t lock down? if ‘vaccines/boosters don’t work’???  make you think chap. oh and new cases are plateauing and falling. wowsers!

omicron is only becoming the dominant variant in your eastern states now. for the first period of your reopening it wasn’t that way. details are important, dilbert.

why do YOU keep misrepresenting things? ‘we are 90% vaccinated and yet people are still dying in droves!’. uhm, yeah, the least boostered nation in the world is suffering a teensy weensy increase in deaths after full reopening. ALL ATTEMPTS TO LIVE WITH COVID ARE DOOMED!!!

Breitbart News sat down with Arizona gubernatorial hopeful Kari Lake during Turning Point USA’s Americafest. She said she will issue a “Declaration of Invasion” on day one in office in order to begin closing the Arizona/Mexico border.
...
Lake said, “On day one, after taking the oath of office, while the press is still assembled, [I’ll] remove my hand from the Bible and we’re going to issue a Declaration of Invasion.”

She explained that she knows the federal government under Joe Biden will fight her efforts to close the border, but made clear that she will not be dissuaded or distracted by the federal government.

“If Joe Biden is going to hand off control of our border to the crime and criminal cartels out of Mexico,” she stated, “it’s wrong what he’s doing, and we will go to battle with the feds on this. We’re going to build that wall, and they’re going to fight us, but I think there’s enough wherewithal and power at the state level, and by the American people, to say, ‘No, we want a secure border and Joe Biden is not providing that.’

Can we get a wall on the other edges of AZ's border, too?

Their state went blue last cycle. Same with Georgia. There is hope.

I am keeping an eye on the Midwest though. They can't be trusted.

you should sell your car and relocate to a country that isn't burning 3x as much as my entire UK lifestyle per person to provide basic services and amenities.

But we aren't burning 3x to provide basic amenities, we're doing it to produce the products you use.

If we didn't have iron ore, coal and aluminium production and produce 3x the food we consume I'm sure we'd be competitive on CO2 per capita.

sorry but no, the greenhouse costs of producing and refining fossil fuels are a tiny sliver of your total emissions, just as they’re a tiny sliver of global emissions as a whole.

the carbon footprint of living in a well-watered low-density suburb in australia is much higher than living in england. australians want first-world living standards provided to them despite the relatively exorbitant cost of doing so.

i’m certainly not the one eating australian beef here, either.

we’ve been here so many times before. you’ve been living, driving, consuming from the global marketplace in australia for nigh-on my entire lifetime. i’ve been living in a country with lower emissions and lower emissions per capita that entire time. looks like it’s time for you to vacate the well-polished spot on the end of my cock.

Australia has the highest greenhouse gas emissions from coal power in the world on a per capita basis, nearly doubling those in China, according to a new analysis released at the Cop26 climate summit in Glasgow.

Australia topped the list, with annual per person emissions five times greater than the global average and 40% higher than any other major coal power user. Examining the period since the landmark Paris agreement was signed in 2015, the analysis found Australia emitted 5.34 tonnes of carbon dioxide per person each year, placing it ahead of South Korea (3.81), South Africa (3.19), the US (3.08) and the world’s biggest outright emitter, China (2.71).
fucking priceless how you keep arraigning me for korea’s coal-powered stats.

The Morrison government has rejected this and did not join a group of countries that pledged to phase out burning coal for electricity.

[The report author] said by comparison arguments put forward by Australia, Japan and South Korea were “embarrassing” and “simply untenable”.
oh dear oh dear! shut the fuck up now.

the way you try to construe things, you make out australia is a net-zero green utopia surviving off abundant sun and other renewables. you continually divert and dither and make out like your only interaction with carbon-intensive lifestyles is in digging up the stuff, selling it to other nations, and then washing your hands of it. but that's just not true, is it? australia still has coal-powered power plants. not all states have the same boastful renewables profile as SA (population: 1.6 million, i.e. 7.15% of the total population).

you are selective beyond all belief, in neatly discounting your own fossil-fuel transport use, your individual dwelling and property's carbon sink, and, apparently, in holding your hands over your eyes for 95% of your population. what a fucking sad little twerp to keep ragging on ME, a non-korean visitor, for korea's coal-powered stations ... when australia looks like THIS.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/72/Australian_Electricity_Generation%2C_by_type%2C_2017.png

so let me get this straight ... you aren't responsible for 95% of your compatriots or your democratically elected federal government's policy. but i'm ... responsible for korea? a country to which i'm a mere visitor, with no ability to vote, no property, no roots, no vehicle, etc? lmfao shut up you silly, silly little man.

But we aren't burning 3x to provide basic amenities, we're doing it to produce the products you use.

literally 85% of your domestic energy production is greenhouse gas-emitting.

you daft CUNT!

I'm getting mixed messages on that from conservatives. Most I've talked with seem upset about Russia poking around Ukraine, although in some cases this is newly awakened concern. Probably now that a Republican isn't president. I just respond with "well maybe Ukraine should have joined NATO long ago" and they nod and that's that, D/R politics averted.

The pig people you manage at the farm haven't gotten the latest update then. The new talking point is how China is coercing Biden to go to war with Russia in order to have white people kill each other.

One of today's talking points at the "tranny workshop" is that Biden is having top secret meetings with the Japanese in the Situation Room. Imaginations are sparked.

Elaborate.

I'm imagining people thinking you'll attack the Russians from behind. They'll never see you coming over that 5000 mile stretch of land.

I think "pig person" is too descriptively limited. I would like to add "boar person" to the list, for people who are long in the tooth and set in their ways, or ironically educated yet still clinging to schlocky conservative broadcast.

We also need a word for people who need to carefully juggle the emotions and easily bruised feelings of boar and pig people.

There isn't a lot to elaborate on, truth be told. Biden is at once "giving Ukraine to the Russians, no contest" and "gearing up for war." It's whatever talking point is convenient. The pieces don't have to fit.

I replied to that they were probably talking about Russia, China, DPRK like the news (and footage) suggested. "Do you really believe that?"

Joe Biden called Fox News reporter Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” after he asked him a question about inflation at the White House.

The president was caught on camera slamming Doocy after the reporter asked him at the end of a photo opportunity, “Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?”

“It’s a great asset – more inflation. What a stupid son of a bitch.”

Democratic representative Tom Malinowski said in a tweet his office was fielding calls from Carlson viewers “upset that we’re not siding with Russia in its threats to invade Ukraine”.

The callers, he said, “want me to support Russia’s ‘reasonable’ positions”.

News of the effect of Carlson’s broadcasts doubting support for Ukraine came as the Pentagon placed 8,500 troops on high alert ready to deploy to Europe, amid fears that a Russian invasion could be imminent.

Nato allies have been struggling to project unity in opposition to the Russian president Vladimir Putin’s belligerent amassing of more than 100,000 troops on the Ukraine border.

Carlson, the top-rated host on Rupert Murdoch’s rightwing news channel, has been using his nightly bully pulpit to question the merits of Washington’s backing through Nato of Ukraine in the face of Putin’s expansionist threat.

On Monday night, his show screened an image of the White House with the words “War Machine” stamped over it.

The host accused “neocons” in the Biden administration of “betraying our country’s interests” and said a massive lobbying campaign by Ukrainian politicians and American defense contractors was behind the strategy.

Ukraine was “strategically irrelevant” to the US, Carlson said.
