The autopsy of Trevor Moore was inconclusive. His wife found him face down in the front yard in the morning. Really strange. At least he didn't go out like Anthony Bourdain.

It seems to me like Brexit was done on a platform consisting of a huge lump of misinformation. Nobody was burning down the Buckingham Palace and tearing apart London, were they? Didn't people vote?

Anyway I think it's hardly an affair to base some sort of "ideal future change" off of. "Let's all change government on a wave of propaganda filled with lies and half-truths."

I haven't been reading any overly, unexpectedly mawkish coverage of Prince Philip. Just the usual stuff you can expect from a royal's death. 97 is probably too old to be driving. Short of several revolutionary medical breakthroughs in the future securing a much longer life, I'd have someone else drive me at that age.
Everyone I have ever met is quick to virtue signal about how they voted to Remain. Yet we left.
Almost as fishy as people who die from 2 bullet holes to the back of the head from a revolver and it's ruled as suicide.

Dakota Skye, a 27-year-old adult film star, was found dead at her Los Angeles home, according to a family member.

Skye, a Tampa Bay native whose real name was Lauren Scott and who also went by the alias “Kota Sky,” was found by her unnamed husband, and her aunt claimed she came from a family with history of addiction.

“She died almost exactly two years after her mother, my baby sister’s, death which was caused by addiction and alcoholism,” Linda Arden said in an interview with the Sun. She went on to add, “Lauren was a product of a highly dysfunctional family involving drugs, alcohol, physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse.”
It's sad when they go young like that.

Also
Last month, Scott faced backlash online following an Instagram post that showed her flashing her chest to the camera while standing in front of a mural depicting George Floyd.

Under the now-deleted image posted on May 4, she wrote: 'Happy #GeorgeFloyd day in #santabarbara <3 #dakotaskye equality&fair treatment for all. Dope mural.'

I don't think the internet mob had any role in this girl overdosing in her motorhome. But maybe we shouldn't be so quick to call out somebody who was just trying to do something nice for George Floyd? Also, what kind of porn star dies in a motor home? She was a cute girl. She could have found a man with a house.

Wiki says xanax and meth abuse, in and out of trouble, and none of the people she called wanted to let her stay at their place after some incoherent stuff about an FBI hunt and joining the Hell's Angels.

RIP Charlie Watts of Rolling Stones. Another drummer, though 80. Some speculation of cancer.

I feel like there is really nothing you can do for people who have a mix of mental illness and drug dependence. I mean yeah you can provide supports but ultimately they are responsible for wanting to get better. I am not a libertarian about this stuff either. I wouldn't mind if my taxes were spent to force this girl into a detox program. But for what? So she could produce more pornography? Christ, poor girl.

Another sad case of porn stars going too young is August Ames. She committed suicide after a Twitter mob attacked her. Crazy thing is that she was one of a trio of porn stars who died tragically and young within weeks of each other.

There is a podcast about her life and the details around it.

i can't believe that woman was born with the name 'mercedes grabowski', which is like the jackpot of porno names, and decided to rename herself for her career in adult movies.

don't you support that whole industry, anyway? it's obvious that it's full of damaged people and often ends in ruin.

yeah ... no. porn is notoriously bad as, you know, its main commodity is actual people's bodies and emotionally charged sex. you can only have sex on camera so long before something goes seriously haywire in your head. sexual intercourse is a psychologically fraught experience, to say the least. working on an oilrig has occupational stressors, of course, but it isn't fundamentally abusing human intimacy.

watch louis theroux's documentaries on the porn industry. a lot of suicide, a lot of drug abuse, a lot of people with horrendous back stories. very few industries are a magnet for the damaged and dispossessed quite like it. there are very few unblemished 'success stories'.

just like alcohol, it's too bad that something you evidently enjoy has a lot of negative consequences.

That sounds like work-life balance issues, or personal issues, company/industry problems, or some combination of these. I'd expect a lot of confirming stories from an engineering subreddit. And probably a lot of humble-brag.

Yep, he was one of the originators of dub. I'm a big fan of the Scientist, who was more affiliated with King Tubby, but they have a great album together called the Upsetter Meets Scientist. Incredibly produced album.

Anyone familiar with GTA3 has probably heard the Scientist on that soundtrack. The album many of those songs were pulled from is one of the best dub albums of all time in my opinion.
