So the supervisor who ordered the deletion of the photos gets away with it.

I don't see why this was necessary. They had him under control, just go get him evaluated and take the mugshot later. Knee someone in the nads multiple times and still expecting them to stand is unreasonable on multiple levels.

who bears more responsibility in this civic issue? the police who have systematically and disproportionately over-policed black communities, or the embittered and embattled community?

holding public institutions and offices of great civic responsibility to account should far outweigh anything else. they are entrusted with extra-legal powers in a civic contract.

I am reading recaps of the trial witnesses. Pretty amazing how not a single one is in anyway defending the cop. Also one witness, an off duty firefighter/EMT, was combative with the defense attorney. The brain trust at National Review was flabbergasted that the lady didn't checks notes presume the innocence of the accused? That's not the job of the witnesses...
