I don't believe bones are strong enough to pierce tires. At least not a bone from a small animal.

I've had about 11 cars this week completely ignore the middle line. The guy behind me today was driving completely in the other lane. Some other guy ran a stop sign to turn right in front of meand I had to brake hard down to 40. No idea why it's so bad now.
Went to the grocery store and hit a rock on the way out. Didn't really notice until the dash started beeping at me. Got another 2 blocks before I realized this wasn't normal 1999-era car beepage, but PAY ATTENTION NOW beepage.
The oil was no longer happy inside my car and was happier coming out through the enormous crack that now existed.
The car is currently sitting in some residential area a neighborhood over. Need to head to the pick-n-pull to find an oil pan and if they don't have one, I'll have to have it towed to a friends house and order a replacement online.

Might as well stick with Subaru, the dealership is nearby, in my opinion they have class leading ergonomics and dynamics, can't really be bothered looking much further. If I had to I'd start with Toyota.
A WRX would be nice, but they're a bit expensive use too much petrol, desirable to be stolen, impractical for daily driving and long distances.
An Outback would be nice too, but they're the 'premium' model so price is premium and so is servicing for no reason except they can. A Liberty is practically the same vehicle at 3/4 of the price.
An XV would make sense but the drivers field of view is stupidly flawed and its a stupid premium over the Impreza hatch for 50mm of extra height and ground clearance.
A Liberty would be OK, its one of the few sedans I don't mind, and compared with the Outback its good value. But if I'm buying a sedan why wouldn't I buy a Camry hybrid? Camry isn't AWD I guess.
Forester is too big and bulky and a bit tall but maybe I'd get used to it, why wouldn't I buy a Rav4 hybrid?
Impreza sedan and hatch - don't like the hatch, flawed field of view, sedan is not bad but won't take a tow-bar which is stupid so I can't tow a trailer so I'd need a hatch.
I'm leaning to the Liberty or maybe a used Outback if I had to buy something tomorrow, maybe my Forester will soldier on a few more years and it'll all be different then.
Decarboning the engine (Subaru spray) helps a lot. Maybe I'll try the oxygen engine clean thing.
Paint on the roof and is fading and oxidising, maybe I'll get it done, or do it myself.
It could probably use a new set of shocks and probably some bushings, its getting a bit bumpy and rattly.
20 years on the OEM exhaust and brake discs isn't bad.
Electric cars should have been more affordable by now but they really aren't.

I could buy an e-vehicle, they just don't make financial sense, I'd rather have the money invested.
Even environmentally I do too few km to justify the sunk carbon cost of the vehicle.
At this point hybrids are worth it so if pushed I might get one.
There will be a game-changing battery technology, its just not here yet.
I could get one for smugness, easy to recharge during the day when the real cost of electricity is zero or negative (not to the consumer though).

I'm sure having a Porsche Taycan would give me minimal actual pleasure and a lot of liability, plus its a depreciating 'asset'.
A$175,000 could buy me a whole lot of things which I'd like to have more and get a lot more use out of, and would be unlikely to get me carjacked or a home invasion.
I have bought nice things over the years and they've generally been a liability or a disappointment or both.
eg The one new car I bought within two weeks my father dragged a ladder across the front and my sister drove it into the house - which took the shine off the car and the whole experience.
I don't even like having a new car, the steady buildup of scratches and dings is something I don't want to care about.
Overall microtreats are more cost effective and enjoyable so I'll stick with those, plus being able to quit work if I feel like it.
Every job so far I've quit with no plan for what to do next, I can take no shit and not worry about the consequences, its liberating.
I might yet by an EV over a dino-wagon, the options seem to be Toyota/Subaru, Hyundai, Volvo. I'm not buying Chinese or Tesla, although Polestar seems to be the pick of them all.
