except now jay and conservatives are going to blame every mass shooting or terror event on the covid lockdown and covid stress caused by the democrats. schwing! it’s election season baby!
The Republicans are the rightful rulers of Uhmuhrica and everything which ever has or will go wrong is the fault of the Democrats.
If you understand this everything makes sense.

RV bomb in Nashville at 6:45am on Christmas Day.
Targeted a downtown area that wouldn't be populated on Xmas morning and also gave 15 min of loudspeaker warnings to evacuate.
Hopefully as small as a pissed off anti-masker or some dumbass. And not a test of something larger.

white person who is 'mentally ill' or 'political actor with grievances' in 3, 2, 1 ...
The bojinka plot was full of tests too, but I don't think this is even in th same ballpark. It is likely some angry white jabroni who was mad he couldn't enter a business without a mask

I wish every RV would explode, and every caravan too.
Stupid things.

I called it!
It should be distressing that a guy managed to successfully blow up a truck bomb in the middle of a city as a proof of concept.Officials have said they are confident the explosion was "intentional." Still, the Christmas date, the early morning timing and the unusual warnings broadcast on loudspeaker before the explosion indicate that this was no attempt at mass murder.
"It was clearly done when nobody was going to be around," Nashville Mayor John Cooper said Friday.
No bystanders died from the blast. However, investigators found tissue that they believe could be human remains near the site of the explosion, Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake said.
Except weren't there a load of gunshots beforehand, possibly to suck in some police?
Fuck Israel
This is such a weird attack, like something the unabomber might do.
if it's a suicide it reminds me more of that armoured-bulldozer freakout that happened a few years back, where a guy seemed to reach his limit and decided to go out in a spectacular rampage.Larssen wrote:

only with a bomb-rigged RV it strikes a slightly more plangent, sad note.
It seems an awful lot of pointless effort for a suicide. I also can't see any clear target rationalising the location of the explosion, unless someone holds a deep grudge against AT&T.
The bomb blast was pretty massive, an RV might've been used because it allows for a high load for a crude bomb.
As for the reasons I'm really touching in the dark here. I would expect it to be a lone wolf vigilante of sorts, personally I don't feel a suicide is very likely. I've never seen any comparable case for that.

well, suicidal people are not the most rational or clear-headed. and a significant number do choose to go out with a shooting rampage, a revenge killing, a spectacular airplane-flying-into-tax-office type scenario.
in america there's that particular stance towards the federal government, the authorities, society and tax collectors, etc. i can see how a suicidally depressed or financially ruined person would turn their last act into a symbolic one like that.

Came to pass in my inbox irt Nashville. Either a haughty liberal angry at the south, or a righteously indignant Republican angry because his vote was "purposefully lost down the unobserved rabbit hole."uziq wrote:

"Our new Fort Sumter!" claimed a bored one prone to wild conclusions and peering over his reading glasses at you with "ya really believe that?" eyes if you suggest his proclamations are rather flights of fancy. He probably watched the video fifty times that day.
pls help …
e: What the blast does immediately indicate to me is that we need a bit more resilience for dispatch and aviation networks in some areas if a localized blast can bring them offline.
Who knows what inspires people to do this.

A man who deliberately drove his ute into a Westpac branch in Perth's CBD on Christmas Day wanted to exact revenge on the bank, a Perth court has been told.
Bryan James Spain appeared in the Perth Magistrate's Court on Sunday.
He drove his silver utility through the front glass doors of the Westpac Bank on St Georges Terrace on Friday afternoon.
The vehicle did not stop until it hit the branch's back wall, which it also damaged.
Nobody was in the bank at the time.
The court was told it was a deliberate act, and the damage bill is likely to be $120,000.
"Westpac ruined my credit history," was the explanation Mr Spain allegedly gave police for his actions.
He was released on bail with an order to stay at least 50 metres away from all Westpac banks and ATMs.

embittered conservatives/libertarians can fairly easily cast their personal ruin or bad choices into a ‘david and goliath’ narrative against the evil, nefarious, shadowy government. it just fits like a glove onto a whole spectrum of discontent, from the amped-up race haters to the paranoid neurotics.
Also communists and the religious.
Fuck Israel
anarchists were much more into the bomb throwing in public thing and the use of revolutionary violence. they had plenty of doctrinal schisms with communists and socialists over this point. it’s all sooo 1910.
the right-wing are more likely to produce these isolated lone wolf incidents, being driven by individualism and suspicion of government.
i know you’re joking but you always remarkably have very little to say about a perp’s race, ethnicity or outlook when they aren’t in that conveniently ‘triggering’ category for you of islamist extremist or whatever. this guy just blew up half a city block in a major city and the president hasn’t even stopped playing golf to acknowledge it. what do you think would have happened if it was BLM related?

You're right, I forgot black racists.
Fuck Israel
"Bigoted black people" or insert non-white ethnicity has to be about one of the biggest whataboutisms in race discussion. Fifty black dudes could get curb stomped by police and there would be someone in response complaining about the one time they were called a honky in high school.
I can kind of see the motive for snapping and attacking shady banks (there's a bit of truth to that "aaand it's gone" South Park meme), but the tellers and the people working the desks probably aren't on the shadowy board of evil bankers whose greedy policies contributed to ruining your life.
Not sure where they think they're going to get $100k from the guy though if they decide to wring it out of him somehow.

So I'm reading that the RV bomb suspect was a 5G conspiracy theorist. I don't know if that's true, but still … great. /s
What next. Car bombing vaccine labs?

5g conspiracists are a special sort of idiots. The increasing technological advancement really is too much for some of the mentally impaired cavemen that still walk around today. They're like bush people throwing rocks and shooting arrows at aircraft.
just to play devil's advocate, here: the honest truth is that we don't know what the long-term consequences are of exposure to wifi, 3G/4G/5G, etc. we are the living sample. these technologies have only been rolled out for one generation. we have oodles of testing and hypotheses, of course, and we have slimmed it down to the smallest benefit of the doubt; but the honest scientific position would still acknowledge that grain of doubt and possibility. we simply do not definitively know.
anyone familiar with the history of industrial products or chemicals like formaldehyde, building construction materials like asbestos, phenomena like the hole in the ozone layer, etc, would do well to remain at least a little bit humble. all those products/materials were tested and approved in their time, too (albeit under less stringent regulations and with less knowledge).
of course 5G conspiracy nuts aren't interested in the scientific research really in any substantive way, anyway.
