definitely not after the mid-90s because he had a free ride through university (i.e. 1980s-era higher education funding model) and loathes tony blair and everything he did 'by letting in the immigrants'. i'm guessing he emigrated in mummy and daddy's marsupial sack to australia in the mid-90s. everything he posts drips with unreconstructed race-hate from long-past obsessions. nobody here on the far-right cares much about black britons, for example, whereas dilbert is still full of rancour about 'his country' and 'bristol being a shithole' (which has always been dogwhistle code for a city with a proudly afro-caribbean heritage, etc.)

a very strange case who definitely hasn't matured or come to terms much with the world in the last 3 decades. living at home will do that to you.

I had a phone call from some police organization looking for donations for cops. The guy on the phone sounded like the cowboy from the Big Lebowski.

He was so clear in his delivery that I wasn't sure if he was a robot or not. So I asked him a couple times "are you a robot?" "He responded back with "what?" and I respond back with "What? Are you a robot?" This happened a few times until he gave up. He then said "Sir I have a script I am not supposed to deviate from. Would you like to speak to a supervisor or donation specalist." I said supervisor because he still sounded like a robot. Artificial AI is getting smart nowadays. So they connected me to a lady who sounded like Paula Deen.

She also sounded like a robot too. People don't talk like Paula Deen in real life.
She said hello and that she was a supervisor and I asked her if the last person I talked to was a robot. She said no the person I talked to was not a robot. I told her he sounded like a robot. And then she asked me if I wanted to donate to the police fund. I said absolutely not. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't talking to a robot.

And then she hanged up on me.

Is it really though? Public freakout on a budget airline. Systemic! Could find a video of a white person having a mental breakdown over someone speaking Spanish, but it's probably not going to be something you experience often even if you eat at McDonald's every day.

hey look! after i've been saying for 25 pages that graffiti and defacing monuments is standard protest procedure.

here's the white middle-class eco-hippies defacing the winston churchill statue!

wasn't dilbert making this out to be the actions of nefarious black supremacist terrorists?

Well at least you finally came out the closet as a white supremacist, glad we cleared that up.

No Dilbert we're not all in a battle for supremacy. If you didn't know, many if not most countries across the globe are multi-ethnic and multicultural. You live in one and were born in one. Pretty much all of these countries have enshrined in their constitutions and laws clauses on minority rights and equality among peoples. You will find that countries which do not respect those principles are often the shittiest places. There also isn't one 'white people'. Throughout history near identical identity rifts between white people were often cause for massive conflicts. The most recent of which being the war in Ukraine. Your sense of 'whiteness' is quite unique to our modern world, as in any other time you probably would have loathed the welsh, the scots, french, germans etc. as being lesser peoples - despite sharing the same skin colour.

The great lesson of the 20th century is that life is better if we get along and do not attempt to subjugate/murder/oppress one another because of our cultural, ethnic or racial narcissism. That realisation is what spawned the united nations, the european union, the universal declaration of human rights, all among other things. It is the reason you live in an era in the west that is hallmarked by an unprecedented long peace. Foundational to that peace is respect for other peoples, their equality to oneself and their democratic rights.

Dilbert, you are quite possibly one of the most infuriatingly dull-witted people I've had the misfortune of communicating with. For years now you have been handed on a silver platter all you need to broaden your understanding of race, ethnicity, why Africa is the way it is, you name it. With the internet giving you unprecedented access to the best research in any field you could easily educate yourself if you wanted to. Yet time and again, without fail, you compulsively revert to your asinine conceptions of the world around you. Your 'natural instincts' if you will. You don't read, you won't learn and can't rid yourself of that 19th century blood and soil thinking. Your behaviour is like that of a religious person whose life is ruled by dogma. A lost cause; a failure.
Insults, great news! the sign your reality is becoming unsettled.

I'd be fine with cultures getting along, the fact is they don't and never will.

The problem with people like you and uziq is you are so blinded by your ideologies you can't the whats in front of you.

The great lesson of the 20th century is that every race wants supremacy, the only places where 'multiculturalism' works is in western democracies where the sub-cultures are in minority. Everywhere else in the world is a corrupt tribal shithole thanks to the racism and intolerance which is far more developed outside white countries than within.

Here are some articles for you, just on Nigeria, compare and contrast.

Nwaubani Ogogo was a slave trader who gained power and wealth by selling other Africans across the Atlantic. “He was a renowned trader,” my father told me proudly. “He dealt in palm produce and human beings.”

His agents captured slaves across the region and passed them to middlemen, who brought them to the ports of Bonny and Calabar and sold them to white merchants. Slavery had already been abolished in the United States and the United Kingdom, but his slaves were legally shipped to Cuba and Brazil.

One morning, a man arrived at our gate from a distant Anglican church that was celebrating its centenary. Its records showed that Nwaubani Ogogo had given an armed escort to the first missionaries in the region—a trio known as the Cookey brothers—to insure their safety. The man invited my father to receive an award for Nwaubani Ogogo’s work spreading the gospel. After the man left, my father sat in his favorite armchair, among a group of his grandchildren, and told stories about Nwaubani Ogogo.

“Are you not ashamed of what he did?” I asked.

“I can never be ashamed of him,” he said, irritated. “Why should I be? His business was legitimate at the time. He was respected by everyone around.” My father is a lawyer and a human-rights activist who has spent much of his life challenging government abuses in southeast Nigeria. He sometimes had to flee our home to avoid being arrested. But his pride in his family was unwavering. “Not everyone could summon the courage to be a slave trader,” he said. “You had to have some boldness in you.”

In a tragedy reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, a couple in Nigeria killed themselves earlier this month after their parents had forbidden them from marrying because one of them was a descendant of slaves.
"They're saying we can't get married... all because of an ancient belief," the note they left behind said.
The lovers, who were in their early thirties, hailed from Okija in south-eastern Anambra state, where slavery was officially abolished in the early 1900s, as in the rest of the country, by the UK, Nigeria's colonial ruler at the time.
But descendants of freed slaves among the Igbo ethnic group still inherit the status of their ancestors and they are forbidden by local culture from marrying those Igbos seen as "freeborn".

But yeah, what we should do is promote black culture and promote them to positions of power, it will only result in more equality and less racism.

I feel like this isn't the first time you (or someone) mentioned the African slave trader in this context, and it feels just as non-sequitur to the rest of the argument as I recall from before.

That NYT piece is such a well written article and this is the part you quote? Did you read only until about a fifth of the way in? For fucks sake man. If you read on It would be amply clear that this was a starting point to a larger theme; that they were in the process of coming to terms with history and recognising the legacy action of the past leave for the present. About how morality has changed to acknowledge that slavery was wrong and if the people living in that part of nigeria today want to get along the remnants of that time need to be buried too.

You can obviously read english so why for christ sake did you ignore all the following parts:

After a period of communal prayer, people gathered in the village hall and voted to discard the community’s historic name, Umuojameze, which means “children of Ojam, the king.” Ojam was a deity whom the townspeople had worshipped before Christianization, and to whom they had made regular human sacrifices. They chose the new name, Umujieze, which means “children who hold the kingship,” to reflect our severance from the atrocities of the past.
My relatives disagreed about the cause of our family’s curse. Most believed that it was because of Nwaubani Ogogo’s slave trading. Some suspected that it was his broken alliance with Njoku. My father thought that it might have resulted from his human sacrifices.
With tears in his eyes, my father explained that, in Nwaubani Ogogo’s day, selling and sacrificing human beings was common practice, but that now we know it to be deeply offensive to God. He thanked God for the honor and prestige bestowed on our family through my great-grandfather, and asked God’s forgiveness for the atrocities he committed.
During the ceremony, I was overwhelmed with relief. My family was finally taking a step beyond whispering and worrying. Of course, nothing can undo the harm that Nwaubani Ogogo caused. And the ohu, who are not his direct descendants, were not invited to the ceremony; their mistreatment in the region continues. Still, it felt important for my family to publicly denounce its role in the slave trade. “Our family is taking responsibility,” my cousin Chidi, who joined from London, told me. Chioma, who took part in Atlanta, said, “We were trying to make peace and atone for what our ancestors did.”
And the very last sentence:

"The more people confess and renounce their evil past, the more cleansing will come to the land.”

once again we are ignoring the part where dilbert uses the state of nigeria or the congo to criticize BLM.

african-americans are not nigerians.

the civil rights struggle of american citizens as per the constitution has zilch to do with fucking tribal or national politics in nigeria.

this underlying treatment of 'blacks' as the same all over the world, shrinking the entire history of the fucking continent of africa to one blase remark, etc, is quite literally racism. it's akin to blaming dilbert for any issues that russians are having, or crediting dilbert with the successes of the finns, because they're all 'whites'. it doesn't make ANY fucking sense.

if african rulers cooperated in the slave trade, which is a well-accounted for part of the triangle trade and has never been denied, so did various european imperial powers and now independent colonies. do people treat americans and the british as the same entity in these discussions? NO! so why are you having a hard time differentiating between modern-day nigerians and african-americans who have been citizens of an entirely separate civilization for 300 years?

staggeringly stupid stuff.

Well he already associated himself with white supremacists, then went on to cry over the fact that I insulted him.

I do insult your intelligence dilbert, you are a very moronic man. A rather evil twerp as well, as your self-confessed worldview is that of domination over other identity groups, in your mind defined principally by race and skin colour. How you manage day to day life in a country that entirely consists of a mish-mash of various European and Asian immigrants is a mystery to me. I suppose you are even scornful of the aboriginals as well.

I do hope you again reconsider your analysis of the 20th century. Perhaps consider this: every country in history that only looked inwardly has utterly failed. From imperial Japan and China to the great powers in Europe. One stagnated and was conquered, the other self-destructed in their narcissistic endless quest for expansion and dominance. Both committing countless atrocities along the way. The empires no longer exist, and the governing structures of what remains have altered beyond recognition. Contrasting failures you could learn from one would think, but not Dilbert.

You are a joke. The ridiculous irony in your dismissal of history yet your worldview being informed by historical examples. Your inability to comprehend clearly structured articles in newspapers. Your confusion of different peoples based solely on the colour of their skin. This is exactly why I call you a lost cause, look at all this goddamn BS you tell yourself.

You guys have been subjected to anti-black bigotry for the past few weeks and in the interest of equality let me give you just a small taste of white criticism: White parents are some of the worst to deal with. I don't think white households actually value education more than black ones. I think white households are better at extracting concessions and getting their complaints taken seriously. The Karen meme is probably as valid of a type of white woman as the Shaquisha is of black women. White kids are better to deal with overall though not all white kids. There has been white kids I would trade away for some of the Newark kids I remember fondly.

I wonder how jarringly perfect your BMI and tone is. Usually when I encounter people who can only switch between "hot" and "fat" descriptors, they've gut a bit of a paunch developing on their own bodies. Same sort of double standards exist with men who whine about women who have their own preferred body types.

At least Dilbert's standards are easy. All a gal needs is cat ears and a tail to get some of that.
