That was his first and only scene. Did you see how he died? I nearly rage quit then and there when I saw it.

Just a moment please.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
The video cut off before he died.

There's a few minor inaccuracies in the movie, but it doesn't go out of its way to warp reality too much. It doesn't pull too many punches on the general, and George C. Scott won a NYFC for it.
I would probably have it in any WW2 dramatization library.

Thank you for helping me learn the actor was as much of a retard as Patton. But in fairness that might have been a reasonable reaction to living in the Cold War era.It is my conviction that had Patton been in charge, the war would have been perceptibly shortened, with thousands and thousands less casualties … our position today would have been different in regards to Russia.”

The war might indeed have been shortened if they hadn't redirected supplies to Montgomery's failed Operation Market Garden instead of to his charging tanks. The Germans were on the run and the delay allowed them to regroup.SuperJail Warden wrote:

RTHKI and Dilbert also need to read. This is required reading.

Wasn't one of the lines of thinking that Patton could have overextended and become enveloped in an reorganized elastic defense at the cost of Allied lives, fuel, and other resources that were needed elsewhere. That at the time it was seen as more risky than Market Garden, and why should we bleed for land that might be expected to be turned over to the Soviet Union occupation zone once Berlin capitulate.Jay wrote:

For me, through season 4+ it felt like there were more downs than ups.SuperJail Warden wrote:
Game of Thrones is good up until the first episode of the 7th season. The final scene of the 6th season season is just a perfect finale for the fan fiction writers to use as a jumping off point.

Proper killer robot. Tried it with the T2 hospital chase theme in the background. Could work nicely if it didn't become so energetic.SuperJail Warden wrote:
The final scene of west world season one is also another good place to end the show and let head Canon take over.

Patton was massively overextended and supply lines were becoming a huge issue. Marker Garden was a big risk, but was one worth taking.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

I never played command and conquer. I like the concept of using real actors for game cut scenes though.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
First clip, maybe they use more or less the same robotic frame to make it easier to swap parts and mass produce. Programming equalized, I suppose that would make them more or less an equal match. She probably wouldn't take as long if she didn't monologue like Doctor Evil.
I don't really have an explanation for the second scene. Maybe she installed robot shields off-screen.

man it's like watching a cheesy old C&C cutscene
It would be interesting to see it in HD to find out if the two bullet holes I thought I saw appear on her jacket actually mended two cuts later.
