Veteran Transport Badge ?

Requirements:
R: 5 road kills in a transport
G: 25 hours in a transport
G: 200 driver ability points

I have both global's satisfied, but cannot get the award to trigger with 5 kills in a transport.

So I'm wondering the precise definition of a "road kills" ?

I killed 7 in the gunner seat of the Vodnik the today, no award trigger. Grrrr.

What gives? Do you actually have to run people over with the wheels of the transport?

road kill'em like uhhhh.... run'em over or hit a heavy jeep with an AT round and let it blow up. be creative. be commander and drop it on some people's heads....

This would only work if you eject out of a plane/helicopter, enter the car when it's still dropping and then killing the poor guy laying on the ground.

Vehicle Drop Kills count as nothing...

Yes, for example shooting a vehicle with the cannon, the passengers get out of the vehicle, the vehicle explodes and kills the ex-passengers. Other way is to shoot oilbarrels and kill the people surrounding it.

Go to Wake and be USMC and get in a vehicle and go to the Airfield jet spawn. Usually 4 or 5 kills automatically.

Ugh, how silly is that for proof of transport proficiency? I can't imagine a single scenario on a battlefield where I'd be driving around looking for people to run over.

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure hoping that people jump out of their vehicles before it explodes, and dying to the explosion, 5x in one round is very good odds lol. I'll give all the ideas all a try though.

And that was only at the beginning of the map... pretty easy to do... getting the time without padding that's the hard part (meaning, not sitting in a vehicule as a commander)

yep runem over. got it the other day on precisely the 5th one. only wish i had the time for expert...ended up running over about 16 ppl on warlord. damn that was fun.

well, there is another way to get it.

be commander, sit in a transport and get 5 artillery kills. then BANG, you have the badge. i got mine on karkland tho in a vodnik, just driving in circles around the hotel. good fun.

this comander trick works with every vehicle badge aswell, AA, ground defense, etc.

No, this trick doesn't work with transport, because you need Roadkills. If you make Artillery Kills sitting in a vehicle they only count towards the usual kills of this vehicle.
