I've seen most of you are having problems loading into the account server. The problem lies with EA's deterrant against alternate-ranking (things like BFStats that make Singleplayer and LAN games ranked and stuff). There is a file called "Hosts" in your WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc directory. The problem lies there.
Rename it to something like Hosts.txt so you can access it. (If it doesn't turn into a notepad, then go to "Tools", then to "Folder Options", go to "View" and in the list uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types")
Now, when you open it, you will be overwhelmed by the amount of text in here. Use the "Find" function and search for "stats".
It should take you to the line that contains your problem. It should look something like this (though it is interchangeable):
127.0.0.1 bfstats.com # Battlefield 2 Stats
Delete it. Search again just to double check if anything else is in there.
Save it as hosts.txt. Delete the original "hosts" file and rename "hosts.txt" into "hosts".
This should clear up your problem. If not, try reinstalling Patch 1.3.
Now if you want, you can cut the time that it takes to load the account server in half, but at the cost of your Server History list.
Go to:
My Documents -> Battlefield 2 -> Profiles -> #PROFILE# -> General.con
Search for: GeneralSettings.addServerHistory
Delete all lines that contain this tag.
