Switzerland has 3 different official languages and is home to at least 4 distinct identity groups....

Reading Breitbart and other conservative websites about the two mass shootings we had today. Every mass shooting is either a false flag or the shooter was a secret liberal. And it is democrats fault for not accepting the 2016 election and criticizing Trump that this is all happening.

i wouldn’t be surprised if there was another white supremacy inspired terror attack within the next month. many of the online spaces white supremacists gather are fully radicalized into support and glorification of violence. nowhere else to go.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get one in the next few hours. Anyone who might have been on the brink or planning one might decide to do it now since there were just two big ones in less than 12 hours and keeping the trend going will be huge to them.

Combat in Iraq was drawn out due to the local folk having access to weapons. This shows that guns can be an effective deterrent against government tyranny despite being at a technological/hard power disadvantage.

The police shot the assailant - good guy with gun defeats bad guy with gun once again!
"Hispanic invasion of Texas" LOL anyway...

You'd think that of all places in the world Texas would be the first place for a 'good guy with a gun' besides the Police to step in and stop a mass shooting, but it never happens and didn't happen this time either.

The Swiss are intelligent and educated and understand and believe in civic responsibility.
Also they don't walk around with their issue weapons on their hip or over their shoulder, they're locked away and the ammo is in sealed tins, not much likelihood of intervening in a mass shooting.
They're also ethnically and culturally homogeneous but we're not allowed to say that.
This is literally a direct rip off of a twitter thread, at least quote where you're stealing your "hot takes" from.

What a bizarre response.

If 30 people died in a highway pileup, the severity (and ratio of dead to others present) would be worthy of national news. "Sorry for feeling gross about the frequency of attacks. It didn't occur to me that the FLU was a thing. Guess I was overly emotional." wtf

If this isn't outright relative privation, it certainly seems to be poking at its boundaries.

e: He should email a copy of this tweet to the families of the victims. That'll make them feel ashamed about their horror.

Well either way i'm not looking it up now, but its almost exactly the same bullshit, so fair play, you hive minded it.
[edit] Although I think i should clarify i do agree with there being a lot more gun control in the US. Just not the rest of the ethnic and cultural stuff.

I do know a lot about firearms laws around the world, have been to Switzerland for extended periods, do know Swiss people etc.
I've never used twitter.

Otherwise the argument that more people die from malaria etc than mass shootings so they don't matter is of course a retarded one.
There's no reason for people in developed countries to suffer mass murder at the hands of a radical or a retard, the 2nd amendment can be fully upheld without allowing retarded teenagers free access to concealable assault weapons.
If the NRA weren't run by nuts they'd be working hard to protect the public and their members interests, not to massage the egos of fantasists and fanatics.

Still its strange that opioid addicts freezing to death alone by the thousands is of no interest to anyone, maybe if they huddled together in a large group and died at the same time?

he's a typical star-scientist who mistakes pedantry and boorishness for some sort of sage insight. a great populariser of astrophysics, but a terrible expert on public health issues. who could have guessed?

dilbert, who are you talking about when you say the opioid crisis is of interest to no one? can you stop constructing straw-men, please? there have even been widespread protests and divestment/distancing from the sacklers, for example, in the UK. plenty of people care about the opioid crisis. just because you see heroin addicts and people dying as a convenient logical fallacy for your own stupid arguments, don't make out everyone else is equally heartless.

Does it make the daily news? "150 heroin users died today"?

Well bugger me dead, I have a feeling I know this guy.

It doesn't make the news because it is easy to avoid overdosing on H by checks notes not doing H. A madman chasing you around Walmart is entirely out of your control.

many major issues do not make the daily news every day. does that mean many people aren't working on them, and that it isn't a well known public issue? what are you, a gnat?  do you need daily reminders? you are expressing the worst tendencies of the modern attention span, with the idea that because something isn't in the news that day, it can't exist. the world is not the news cycle.

there seems to be a pretty regular churn about it, if only you'd search:

https://www.google.com/search?q=america … &dpr=2

the atlantic, vox, USA today, the guardian, CNBC, NPR, the american prospect, the new republic -- all have posted articles or news items about it in august. not to even mention the dozens of smaller state or local papers that have run 'opioid crisis' stories in the last week, if you sort by recent results rather than 'most relevant' ones.

doesn't surprise me you know gun-hoarding, paranoiac white males.

This mass shooting couldn't be more American if it tried. Can you imagine dying in a Walmart? Not a Brooklyn hipster cafe, not a Portland craft brewery, not a Louis Vuitton in NYC. Nope you get shot at a Walmart. The last thing you and the 72 year old door greeter see is just rows of Chinese Walmart brand items staring back at you silently.
