Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11 or WMD, would not have been attacked but for the mild threat it posed to Israel.

What has Iran done lately to deserve military threats from the US? Its a mild threat to Israel, and so will be the subject of the next contrived 'war of freedom'.

john bolton is a genuinely interesting (and alarming) character. considering how malleable and impressionable trump is, and how sensitive to outrage, i'd bet that you can pin almost all of the official foreign policy on about 2–3 white house figures, tops, who are having their way. bolton pretty much single-handedly scuppered the talks with north korea, too. just like the early ban on muslim immigrants was wholly a bannon pet-project.

A lot of political scientist believe that the presidency has too many roles and responsibilities now. It would be best to cede a lot of executive functions to Congress to let them handle.
