who pays them for their work?there are many volunteer, not-for-profit, charity organisations prominent in the media, with no 'capitalist' distortion or 'market' pressures to please their press baron owners.
whatever. you wanna chew on that line of crap? - go right ahead.this is literally the case. objectivity and the independence of the fourth estate are still aspired to here; the political class and those in power are regularly held to account.
actually, there are a lot of anti-putin news organisations here. of course all of those are either on khodorkobsky's or one or another "western fund for promoting democracy"s payroll, but still.in russia they are basically organs of putin, much like mainstream media in berlusconi's
if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.
no one pays for their work. do you know what 'volunteer' work is? jesus christ.
it has actually been a month, huh. what can i say, i like arguing, especially with the likes of zeek - i always learn new words and ways to say stuff in english.Finray wrote:

So you said you were an actual commie, as in full-on redistribution wealth, publicly owned means of production? How would you say communism is more sustainable than capitalism? How do we prevent corruption of that system?Shahter wrote:

With the rise of automation, what do you guys think of universal basic income?
Kavanaughs accusations, political hit piece or legitimate concern?
And for fun, do we as humans have free will?
What kind of job is it?
Wow 2 weeks. You will still fail a drug test.Finray wrote:

@ken I'm doing night shift in a hotel, bit of hoovering, bit of cooking, bit of bartending then I cash everything up. Decent wage, full 40 hours a week, super low expectations and 1-3 hours of downtime a shift. Better than what I've been doing up to this point which was just tending bar.
How is bar tending? I could probably get a job as a bartender in the summer and it seems like a cool job if you only do it for a few months.
I'd agree with that. I did it for maybe 5 years, way too long.
Very hard work, physically and emotionally, very stressful. A lot of places have an inner ring and if you're not inside it the job is shit. Other places will pile responsibility on you that you don't get paid for but are still expected to do.
I worked mostly in classy cocktail places and that's the part I enjoyed most, took real pride in the drinks I made. Best part of the job was putting a drink down on the bar you've slaved over and seeing the customers eyes light up. But that never outweighed the negative aspects of it.

Did you see the part where I suggested other conversation topics?
It's all relative
You're losing your touch uzi I'm honestly disappointed man, please try again, but with vigor this time!
so our topic was for d&st and then you suggest 'do human beings have free will?' since when was ee chats the place for sixth-form stoner philosophy?
Is that really all you've got? For shame man, for shame.
a guy who spent the majority of his 20s live streaming and working in bars shouldn't talk about shame.
live streaming?
wat?
wat?
i have 53 subscribers on youtube maybe I should do that instead
I heard bar tending is a good way to pick up alcoholic whores. Can you confirm?
Probably not the worst way, but I'm not into taking advantage of intoxicated people myself.
