Just got promo'd to First Sergeant.... I'm good to go till AT LEAST 50k

Gonna work on finishing off my BF2/SF ribbons and my vet SF badges in the meantime

The 6800GS is such a nice card. I got one for myself and it added a whole new level of detail to the game. I love the shadows and lighting. Something I didn't even know existed till I turned the features on lol.

the only thing that annoys me are people who open these threads to say make some comment about how its wasting your time to read it

if any of you are gonna use the "if you dont like it dont play" rationale than not a single reply containing that phrase should be visible. 

a lot of people feel like the game is slower, boring, a hassle to play...
i happen to agree that
1. the pace of the game is slower, which makes it more boring
2. its a hassle to play because of the server issues
3. that though i cant explain it the graphics just don't seem to run as smoothly anymore and it's hard to have a "cleaner" game.

if you don't care that large segments of veteran BF2 players are getting turned off than why are you even part of an online bf2 community? why even waste the time coming to places like this? just turn the game on and play. really, there's no room for a "love it or leave it" attitude in a community like this.

I think that it's because of how EA handled the stability of the game. How, I have to look at 5 minutes of loading screen before finally getting into the game and crashing...
It's so much more convinient to launch up CS and play that...

Easy answer: no

Complicated answer: With enough time in my spare hands, BF is one of my favorite FPS. I will probly be playing BF until the series dies.

I'll never get bored of bf2 until bf3 {not 2142}.

No way, there is too much to do in the game. I'm tired of idiots online that just play Karkand, complaining about "Tank Whores" "Plane Whores" "Helicopter Whores". If you actually played other maps, tried all the kits, all the vehicles, and try commanding every now and then you can play Battlefield for a long time without getting bored.

As ComradeWho mentioned it is harder to play a "clean run" of Bf2. Since the patch Servers get reset more frequent, I get lag/connection issues eventhough I have a 3.5 Mbit uplink etc. Before I was able to play on the same server for several hours until I would quit etc.

Tushers: please use some punctuation here and there, it's a bit hard to read at least for me...
