why suspect a conspiracy? isn't reality mad enough? i think sometimes history takes a sideways swerve and you simply can't account for irrationality. america has elected a tinpot populist. i'm sure latin america is enjoying the delicious irony that the empire to their north's plebs have finally elected someone who advocates the type of politics that the CIA has thrust upon their homelands for decades.
there's no need for conspiracy in this. no shadowy cabals or grand designs. i think in these circumstances it's a crutch of stupidity to look to conspiracies.

I think though that the Republican right, the racists, the Israel supporters are very pleased with what they have in Trump, although there was no conspiracy to put him there.

The travel ban seems to be causing chaos already. People with valid visas are getting detained at airports or are unable to board flights. The status of people with green cards or work and student visas is up in the air. The affected countries are reaching out to their stateside citizens to tell them to not leave the country until the law is clarified.

Lindsey Graham would have been my preferred republican 2016 nominee. I have a lot of respect for him and McCain for not falling in line behind Trump.

I am still surprised this whole racial backlash thing happened. Here in the NYC area I would have said race relations are the best they have ever been. But apparently there are some very angry people living in the hills of Pennsylvania who want nothing to do with anyone else. I don't get it.

The first six used to be threats to Israel, to a greater or lesser degree, and are now failed states and hotbeds for ISIS.
The last is currently a threat to Israel and will soon be a failed state.
Its surprising that Saudi Arabia isn't on the list.

it is really dumb that iran is on the list even if you accept the excuse about terrorism. i am all for fucking over iran but i will admit they aren't a source for the sort of terrorism the western world is affected by.
