Check out the cobblestone streets in Old Montreal near the pier. Nice to walk through and pop in to the different shops/ places to eat.

one of my authors got murdered and his killer was sentenced yesterday to life in prison. my author was stabbed 33 times for a first-edition copy of 'wind in the willows' he had in his house (he was a rare books and antiques dealer). book was worth about £50k afaik. superficial injuries consistent with torture. imagine being tortured in your own home over a fucking book. i was talking to him less than 6 hours before he got murdered as well. we'd just published his latest book. yeuch.
