One of the very very rare games I'll buy before release. Loved Enemy Unknown/Within and apparently this one nails it. Still the various animation and camera bugs to keep things familiar though.

Might have to roll back to a save point from about 9 hours ago. I was researching all the story related stuff first while being short on scientists so the wait on better armor/weapons was about 11-14 days for each and I kept putting it off until I had more scientists. Now I'm facing enemies with vastly more health whom I can rarely ever hit and only take about 1/3 of their health when I do hit. And every time they hit me, it takes over half the soldier's health. I think I'm lucky I got as far as I did with such shitty equipment but some of these missions with timers are impossible because you simply can't put in enough damage per turn to be able to keep good pacing. And once you have to forego Avatar Project prevention missions because you can't get through them in time, you know you dun goofed. That's when it gets away from you.

I saw the brink, was 1 bar away from advent's super duper evil plan succeeding....
Then I managed to finish my resistance comms, made contact with the next 2 regions, hopped my way over to the nearest advent facility, and brought every new upgraded weapon and armor I could. I snuck up to the building to be sabotaged with 2 rangers, 2 heavies, and 2 sharpshooters (all the specialists were wounded), and stacked everyone up in proper positions. I let one grenadier blow up a hole in the wall, ran one ranger in to plant the bomb and run back tot he extraction, and everyone followed suit. The grenadier (who was out of moves after launching the nade) dodged 3 shots and 1 blade and evac'd the following turn. Flawless victory! Knocked 3 bars off advent's doomsdildo and brought my own morale back up.

Everything has been announced as getting a remake on the Unreal 4 engine. The amount of stuff that will be released: 0

It's been OK for the most part. Safe houses have been the main issue with not loading. I was able to run through the walls in one and got stuck.

Final Fantasy IX has finally been released. It is cool they added "Game Boosters" to the re-release. You don't have to grind for hours to level up and can just enjoy the story. More games should add stuff like this. GTA V had the ability to skip missions which was smart.
Oh and I know game boosters used to be known as cheat codes but that seems to be falling out of favor these days with new games. You will enjoy the game how they want you to nowadays.

The demise of cheats has been one of my points of contention for some time, but I'd rather have no cheats than a smattering of cheats and a contemptuous company policy (Blizzard) to ban all associated product keys for people who do it themselves for single players with a hex editor.

What I really don't understand is why they don't sell Android apps and games via Steam yet.
They even have Steam on Android, where you can buy PC games, but not Android ones.
Businesses like Humble Bundle showed that it's perfectly viable.
Amazon has an Android app store, but they are idiots with their delayed or non existent updates.
Also, Steam would be a much more trustworthy distributor, than all those shady 3rd party app stores with infected software.
Steam Greenlight would also come in handy, providing developers an easy way to promote their software.
Ohh looks quite good always quite enjoyed the Dawn of War games.
