Sounds about right. I had a ruptured disk in 2000 and the pain was quite similar altho it was in my lower back and leg. The nerves in my right leg were in a torture chamber mode. The pain was something really awful and no meds helped. Being drunk brought atleast a smile on the face while being on sickleave for months and watching TV. The L4-L5 disk has been operated twice to remove the stuff from pressing the nerves. Now the disk is dry and gone and I'm waiting for the bones to merge. I think it happened when I was carrying a heavy bag around Paris last month and then had to squeeze into a small economy seat on the eurostar on the way back. I had a knee battle with some guy infront of me and sat awkwardly almost the whole way
I thought it would go away but it's been over a month now and it still hurts, maybe I should think about seeing a doctor for the next few weeks and then eventually decide to go
