I don't think the polygraph is a serious tool but instead just a way to trip you up and see what they can get you to admit to doing.

The person I know who failed the same exam for who I am doing it is Polish for whatever that is worth. The last question on the exam was "did you research ways to beat the exam?" He said yes >_<

But New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training.

Meh whatever.

I passed the written exam, the structured interview, health exam, and personality test. I have the polygraph exam, drug, test, background check, and second health test to do.

I am not sure if I was given the polygraph exam because I passed the background check since the email told me to bring information regarding the background check in.

I have been going through this process since May. Fml

That is alledgedly the reasoning of rejecting "overqualified" candidates for any job, even if they're desperate. Good thing I didn't get that $12/hr front-end lab job.
