Japanese American service in World War II
Confirmed, trolling or dumb. Doesn't even warrant a proper response.SuperJail Warden wrote:

you realize that is the same argument for putting Japanese Americans in internment camps during WW2, right? It's pretty much recognized now that it was a nonsensical idea based on xenophobia.SuperJail Warden wrote:
Yes, their eyes, hair, and skin color do not look like white people's. It's that easy. America was founded by and still is a majority white. You can call it western culture or whatever but that is the truth of it. And people from those places will not be willing to defend and die for the country because they will not consider themselves truly American and resent America's culture and founding.
Do you really think a Chinese American kid will volunteer to go fight in Beijing if China attacked the U.S.? Do you expect an Indian American to drop bombs on Mumbai? No, they will be unwilling to do to so. Especially in this day and age of social and mass media.
It happened during the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. Arab Muslim American soldiers murdered American troops about to be deployed to Iraq. It has happened. There are records of it.
White American soldiers murdered Americans too. You realize it's not spurned by a loyalty to the homeland, right?
I am trying to convince myself you are not being serious.
Also, when an Muslim Arab American man throws grenades into his fellow soldiers tent in Kuwait just before we invaded Iraq, then I think there is an obvious difference between that and shooting your fellow soldier in a love triangle.
Did she not betray her country?
no she didn't, and that's a matter of public record.
Convicted and sentenced.

From Wiki. After World War II ended in 1945, the U.S. military detained Toguri for a year before releasing her for lack of evidence. Department of Justice officials agreed that her broadcasts were "innocuous".[7] But when Toguri tried to return to the US, a popular uproar ensued because Walter Winchell (a powerful broadcasting personality) and the American Legion lobbied relentlessly for a trial, prompting the Federal Bureau of Investigation to renew its investigation of Toguri's wartime activities. In 1974, investigative journalists found that key witnesses claimed they were forced to lie during testimony. U.S. President Gerald Ford pardoned Toguri in 1977
So she was pretty much convicted on the basis on a media trial and key witness' falsified their testimony. Yeah sounds like a traitor to me.
stop trolling beth we know you're not that stupid.
She admitted to doing the radio broadcast.
You know there were other women who did the same thing during the war right?

Let's not lose sight of what we are arguing about - MacBeth's position is that immigration tears the fabric of American society, and has used such arguments as: "some are genetically disinclined because they don't look like white people"; a case of an American armed service member who is Muslim but not ethnically Arab murdering a few soldiers in Kuwait as evidence that immigrants are not loyal to their adopted homeland (this guy was not an immigrant and not ethnically Arab); and now a spurious-at-best case of the iconic "Tokyo Rose" who was pardoned and apologized to for being unfairly prosecuted for what was perceived as wartime propaganda but was actually more akin to indentured servitude or captive coercion.
Sorry MacB, you just dropped a few points on the KEN-JENNINGS intelligence index. Would you like to know who's company you are now in?

I don't understand how someone who lives so close to the border would be so delusional about this. Do you think the average Chinese-American person would be comfortable with dropping bombs on Beijing if given the order to?
Do you think the average American person would be comfortable with dropping bombs on Beijing? I wouldn't be. Doesn't take a hyphen in front of American to make that an issue.SuperJail Warden wrote:

Do people have emotional ties to their original homeland and can that sometimes blur how their feel about their adopted homeland? No question. Does that translate to non-white immigrants negatively impacting Americana? Not unless you can traverse a large span of rationality without a bridge.
And yep, I live very close to the US-Mexico border. And *gasp! I am not worried about Mexican immigrants starting an uprising to claim back La Raza. I'm munching awesome tacos and eating fucking amazing pupusas and generally enjoying the shit out of SoCal, shifty-eyed wetbacks and all.
I'm glad you agree that it is a potential security risk.
I like immigrants. Most of my ex's were immigrants or their immediate children. The overwhelming majority are good people. But I still wouldn't trust a Chinese-American soldier if he were part of my battalion in the jungles of Yunnan.
Hopefully it never comes to that.

I don't think you understand. Immigrants come here because they believe it is better here than where they come from. Unless they arrived as bitter refugees, it was wholly voluntary. Why would you expect them to maintain loyalty to a place they traveled half a world to leave?
Don't mistake nostalgia for lack of loyalty.

I'm not just talking about the immigrants themselves. I'm talking about their children also. Do you remember some of the nasty and resentful things GS used to say about America and white people? I read a lot of left wing things and Asian-American men are an awfully angry bunch of people.
Because left wingers rile them up with identity politics. If anything needs to go away it's that.

If the Prime Minister of Australia ordered you to drop cluster bombs on a Taiwanese village, would you do so?Cybargs wrote:

Alright, you are one of the good ones. You can immigrate to my country anytime.

Which you aren't - unless this looks like full employment to you?if we weren't currently at full employment, even with 11 million illegal immigrants working.
Please, parroting glib statements like "we have full employment" from newmodernlibertard.com or wherever you get this fantasy stuff from does you no good.
Why are they alternatives? You don't need automation or immigration when you have 7-8% unemployment - if that figure is even accurate. The alternative to immigration is more automation, not less.
