Because that's where the guy's sisters' cousin lived and he was being an ass about it.

Sear has a bit of a notch in it, thanks to the trigger not being correctly set up and lack of grease.
Will fix tomorrow, or maybe at work since the boss is away for the week.

looks like a 250. either way, I love my bike, tons of fun, plus better gas mileage than most cars - if that matters at all.

but yeah, wear gear don't be dumb.

It's a 250. I am taking safety seriously. Going to do motorcycle classes and not touch it until I get very good with the training bikes. It is probably a good thing that I am learning to ride at 25 and not 18. A lot more mature now.

you have to pass a written test to get your "learners permit" which is slightly different from a car learn permit. You can ride all you like but only during the day, without passengers, and I believe not on the freeway. Also it only lasts 6 months.

you don't have to be SO serious. I took the class and passed just fine then (2 years later) got a bike and went out on side streets, parking lots, and anywhere not busy until I got used to everything.

A few of the guys I took my class with actually rode their own bikes there only to take the class on the shittier provided bikes.

FML, i've had a class 3 for thirty five years, without a bike for the last 14. my next project is a panhead with bags, and i'm getting a helmet with a tuner. i'm going road tripping to the great American Heartland, with only what my machine will carry. Hopefully Burger King offers wifi on route 66 and the other forgotten highways. i've gotten my electronic footprint down to a surface 3 and a galaxy 6. and 120 gb of dropbox . . .

A 250 isn't gonna get you killed. If you can ride a bicycle the mechanics aren't that different. Just practice shifting into first gear so you aren't that jackass who stalls at a light (do as I say, not as I did...).

Once you get the hang of it you'll grow tired of that bike very quickly. Once you do get a 600. Don't bother with a 500. Good luck and be safe.

I bought a liter bike off the bat and took it easy for the first few months. I knew I'd outgrow anything smaller quickly.

I swore off bikes early on. I don't trust myself and do not trust other drivers.
