It is time to say adieu to the last vestiges BF⅔S. The site will be 10 years old on 2015-07-29 (according to my reg date) and it is time to let it wander off into that deep land of internet yesterdays.

On that date the site will go into a read-only mode, a static copy will be made and rehosted, and I'll even release the site's source code for posterity.

Thanks for all the good (and bad ;D) times.

Wow, I don't know how to feel about this. Not that BF2s has been a big part of my life in recent years but for a few years there is was pretty big. Don't know why, I last played BF2 in 2006 after all.

On one hand - ha! I knew you'd die before I did Bf2s!

There were a lot of good eggs on this site, I miss staying up all night and chatting on teamspeak to you peeps. Fun times.

Please make the mod section read only too? I'm sure it would be fun to go back and look at some of the posts/e-drama over the years...

If the site is still going to be available as read only, why not just keep it open? It's not like traffic is busy here. Or hand it over to one or multiple members who are wiling to keep it hosted and working.

I've already outlived one forum (Team17), which was shut down 3 months before my 10th anniversary.
They killed it to move to Facebook...

Now the next forum that I won't have a 10th anniversary of.
