That's just how you roll if you're from the Midwest.

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
So I had an interesting morning when I was woken by the sound of my flatmate collapsing in the kitchen and having a seizure.
I'd actually never really been taught first aid things like the recovery position or CPR, the only first aid training I've been through was in the army and it never really touched on this basic but crucial stuff - it was more on "how to patch a sucking chest wound." It was very weird trying to respond to a medical crisis while thinking "Christ I'd be a Hell of a lot more useful if she'd been shot."
Thankfully it seems I've learned enough through osmosis to be able to work it all out when needed so she's okay. Very glad I had what little knowledge I had and very happy that I don't need to advertise for a new flatmate this afternoon.
If you don't know CPR or first aid I'd seriously recommend you learn. You never know when you're going to be johnny-on-the-spot and even a basic knowledge is going to help immensely.

The downside of that temptation to watch them all is that then you'll have nothing new from the show for another 4 weeks.SuperJail Warden wrote:

...and I have learned that I have little to no self-control. Goddamn this show is the tits.
still need to get a tv. that show probably sucks, I wouldn't' know I've never seen it. breaking bad was probably shitty too.
same with The Wire, Lost, The Sopranos, Dexter, Archer, How I Met Your Mother, ...
man I really don't watch a lot of TV do I?

The Wire is the best show ever made.
The Simpsons is crap. South Park is the bestest

Classic Simpsons > Futurama ≥ South Park > modern Simpson's
