Yeah the whole premise is pretty dumb ...but almost so ridiculous that it becomes entertaining. It's clearly nowhere close to realistic, and as much as a pessimist I am about the US Gub'ment, even the way they portray it is preposterous. Just deciding your wife is going to be UN ambassador? c'mon now. But I'm not watching it because I think it's a documentary. It's dumb and it's supposed to be dumb.

I liked the conclusion of Doug's story though.

if he had let her walk it would have left a loose end to the story. I think it was more about the writers of the show needing closure on her and that area of the story line than anything

Do you watch that show that comes on after Game of thrones? Silicon valley? I watched the first 20 minutes of the first episode and really didn't like it. Whenever I see the previews I get annoyed.

There aren't enough things on HBO to justify paying for it. I don't watch GoT, True Detective, Boardwalk Empire, etc. I'm sure they're all interesting, I just don't watch them. Never watched breaking bad either.

Most people would agree with you. That's why GoT was one of the most pirated shows for the last few years.

I think if HBO teams with another channel or something that might be better. They purely don't have the volume of shows to justify paying. Netflix isn't a channel so they can put out as many shows as they get licensed for.

HBO Now will only be $15 a month. If they put their entire archive of shows and their newly licensed movies on there it is justifiable.

Game of thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos, The wire, true detective, are a few hundred hours of shows.

Their entire library provides thousands of hours of programming

It is a better value than Netflix streaming which rarely has anything worth watching on it anyway.

I have Amazon Prime and the selection is really good if you don't mind paying from 3 to $6 for 48-hour rentals. It has a better selection than Redbox and also Netflix, or at least Netflix's streaming selection, not sure about their mailed disc selection.

Their apps are kinda crappy compared to Netflix's but Amazon Prime is a practically a life necessity so it is understandable that they aren't putting in the effort to make it workable

The only Prime Video app I've used so far is the one included in my Vizio smart TV, the UI sucks for sure but the actual streaming is pretty fast and stable. I don't think it would even be that bad if it just went to a full-screen menu like the Netflix app does.

And I also hope HBO works on their picture quality for HBO Now, HBO Go looks the worst of any of the streaming apps on both my PS3 and on my iPhone 6. I'm guessing they're using an old codec, it looks like it's poorly compressed or something. It's not like I'm watching any remastered older series either, just Boardwalk Empire

she's cute sure, but a few months pack I posted a question asking if she was genuinely hot, or just somebody that was "famous-hot". i.e. are they just considered attractive because they're on tv.
The general consensus was that she was ok looking but a lot of her extra attractiveness did indeed come from her stardom.

and I don't* have amazon prime, I did briefly but I didn't find it any more useful than regular ol netflix.

(for the record, I DO have amazon prime for shipping but not for TV. I work at a university so I get to use the 2-day shipping but none of the tv benefits).

Nope, just got this one a year and a half ago. I've basically been working on it since I got it. I love it and I love working on it, but yeah I just don't love paying for parts.
