They don't just drop the charges if you go to court. It's not like showing up means something to them. You actually have to defend yourself and prove why you weren't going that fast.

I have a coworker who was doing a little over 100 on his bike in Tennessee. He got pulled over and ticketed. In Tennessee, if you are caught going over 100, you have to spend a weekend in jail.

In CA you can go to traffic school once every 18 months and it removes the points off your record. Not sure how it works in MD though.

Either way, 90 is too fast!

Here in Austria you have to pay 80€ per year to use the Autobahnen.
That money directly goes into maintenance of them and it apparently still isn't enough to get to the deluxe levels of quality Autobahnen like Germany has.

In fact, our Autobahnen are like the regular federal highways in Germany, with 4 lanes, exits and no intersections.
