The fee in 2014 is 1% of your yearly income or $95 per person for the year, whichever is higher. The fee increases every year. In 2016 it is 2.5% of income or $695 per person, whichever is higher.

it was made in the early 90's (or late 80s?). it starts out with a boy maybe 15, going to africa and being forced to live with a girl about his age. he's the city slicker and she knows what shes doing out in the bush.
i remember in the beginning a scene where he was walking with a walkman on and he almost strolled through a minefield and she had to stop him. and near the end one of them got stung by a scorpion.
i think the general plot was like one of their mom or dad had died they had to go on an adventure through africa to get away from the terrorists who killed them.

Also our taxes aren't double yours, and we get much more return for our money, since we aren't paying for a lazy-ass military to buy hypersonic supercopters they then use to explode random hill-farmers.
