Why did you need to cut in the first place? From what I understood, you weren't a big build anyway, you started from slim and have been working up.

I don't get all this bulking malarky, that just for people who want to get big quick, why not make it a lifestyle instead of something you want in a few months time?

I've been at it for a long time now and it means i'm conditioned to it, my size doesn't fade quick and it's far more healthier in the long run. My workout is mixed in with a lot of other leisurly things, walking, running and being generally very active.

It's a pretty shameless and self indulgent display, but I never imagined I would look this good at 33. It's taken me a long time and really only taking my gym kinda seriousley for about the past 3 years.

I hit a personal best of a 60lbs/27kg dumbell held between my feet for 3 wide arm to the chest pull up yesterday. I've only ever maxed out at 110kg for my bench-press, I just don't go heavy any more anyway, it never worked for me and never will. I just have to do big circuit-type sessions now.

Actually I started from always being skinny to three years ago being the biggest in my life (size 34 waist and that was getting tight, 88kg at 180cm tall). Now I'm similar weight but size 31 jeans that fit comfortably and much stronger than when I started. My weight is always the last to lose from my belly and there is still a fair bit of body fat to lose before I will be able to see my abs.

A lot of hard work. I'm progressing slowly. I don't want to have to put on a heap of fat to get there.

And there's no need to either, just make sure you eat right and do the work-out that best suits you. Don't be afraid to mix it up either!

Slow progress is still progress and in my opinion, it's the best type, healthy and less prone to injury.

Joined a new gym that's actually bigger than the main floor of my house (unlike the old one I went to). Measured in at 8-10% body fat during their "free health evaluation".
