amex has better perks (I think) but they charge a way higher fee so a lot of places don't accept them, or do that whole "we add 50 cents to every purchase under $5" deal to make YOU cover the payment.

also some businesses have deals that they only accept one card or another

yeah thats what ive been reading, dont use an amex if you get a surcharge but use it if a store carriers it. same per annum card fee as my mastercard coz they come paired.
