they were discussions in which you'd talk about cod4 being a 'top-rate' competitive game. poor sense of history. clearly hadn't played the originals as-and-when. because the cod community felt that cod4 was already a serious step-down, and a move towards consolization. you used to talk about it being amazing. we had long arguments for ages where you'd go on about cod4 being a 'serious' competitive game, with the match promods it was just as hardcore as cod2, yada yada. don't really know why you'd think i'd care to invent "outright lies" about your gaming history. you play LoL. you shit on yourself.Finray wrote:

ok then. so you were a far heavier player of the later CoD games then me. just like i said. cool. have a nice day
remember all those discussions we used to have where i'd call you a nab for thinking that cod4 was 'so good', in comparison to earlier ones? kinda funny you'd make out i was 'into' the later ones, when i would even taunt you about thinking cod4 was as good as the first 2.
sure I played them more than you
Those discussions never happened, I never said CoD4 was better than earlier ones
where are you getting these hilarious outright lies from lmao
big storm right now and everyone is losing power. feeling like we're next
True. And being able to not join specific servers on games like CS and TF2 helps. The ability for a server to swap between alltalk and teamtalk can also make a difference. And the game you pick can be a deciding factor as well. Space Marine has always been fairly mature with the exception of one or two smack-talk clans of mediocre ability who, while annoying, couldn't really diminish the experience.Uzique The Lesser wrote:
dunno. every single fps game i've played the fosters teams/leagues/communities/'a scene' has had a master server list and a lot of infrastructure to support such a thing. and i'm standing by my point about in-game VOIP smacktalk. a ps3 mic may cost $30 but the VOIP 'culture' and use in console games is widespread. on pc, the general tendency traditionally is to communicate with your pals via a private voice-comm server. in console games it's way more often a free-for-all.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
FC3 and Space Marine come to mind. There was an article awhile back where Ubisoft said it was for the good of the players and had nothing to do with fighting piracy. They may have changed their mind, but since I haven't played multi FC3, I dunno. With Space Marine, it caused disastrous lag until they were able to fine-tune it a bit. Now it only has annoying lag. It's a real pity because the game was fairly popular to begin with, and now I'm stunned whenever it finds over five games running that I can potentially join.
Isn't MW3 P2P as well? I haven't bought that one, so can't say for sure without searching it again. I'm sure there's a list of P2P only multiplayer games for the PC out there that some disgruntled gamer cobbled together.
the only game i see voice comms being abused on or made annoying is tf2. which seems to be a specious example. and it's not hard to blacklist the sort of reddit/4chan servers where that mic spam happens, and, again, find a reliable and consistent community server. something that it is much harder to do on consoles.

It is just a matter of time until the Canadians need to move south to escape the flooding and cold. We should give them Ohio. It will be just like home.
i'd say give them new jersey but that's just fucking cruel.

There are not controls whatsoever on the AC itself.

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
If you don't have money to tip you don't have money to eat out or travel.
luckily people in europe travel around all over the world and never pay tips.Macbeth wrote:

and you were saying you haven't been able to afford to travel as much as you want?
Where did I say that? Stop imagining things about me.
so you've just never visited the places you said you wanted to because...?
Cause I have been in school the last few years?
I made a trip a 2 years back in the summer. How is this even a counterpoint to my argument that you shouldn't eat out and travel without being able to tip?
