no, newbie. in the original context of the discussion (with that guy talking about cs:go), we were talking about serious and current fps games with a COMPETITIVE SCENE. you waded in and said "Team Fortress 2 is a fun game, but the balance is so wonky that it doesn't really deserve to be called seriously competitive". that is categorically wrong, because competitive tf2 - matches, leagues, tournaments, clan-games, mixes, pick-ups - still use VANILLA WEAPONS (with perhaps 5-6 exceptions, as i mentioned previously). there is no "wonkiness". you are just categorically wrong.

i still get the feeling that when i mention vanilla tf2 settings, you are talking about "vanilla tf2" public servers. the original discussion, and every discussion since that, has been about the competitive scene, and the 'serious' esports/competitive fps side of things. now you've been completely rebutted, you're falling back on all this lameshit "the community sucks, there are no good pub servers" talk. we were never talking about that. and your original remarks about "doesn't deserve to be called seriously competitive" were adding to a discussion that clearly was not about PUBLIC PLAY. so why are you only going on about pubs now?

why are you back-pedaling over such a silly thing? you have drawn this out for 3 months, instead of just being able to admit you were wrong. wow. that's pathological, man. like you are literally mental.

I'm not backpedaling. TF2 is a fun game (subjective). The new balance is wonky, the old balance is not (subjective). I don't think it deserves to be called seriously competitive anymore (subjective). Here are some alternate opinions you might find from different gamers: "TF2 isn't fun." "TF2's new balance is good or better than vanilla." "TF2 is the best competitive FPS ever invented." You are the one being a special flower about the whole thing, taking such personal offense to someone else's opinion that you are willing to type pages upon pages of epilepsy in text form to continue trying to browbeat me with a discussion I've already [attempted to], and I quote: "backed down for the sake of sanity." Yet you still try to suck me back into it. Fuck's sake, I'd get less of a bad taste in my mouth from sticking my head in a Korean restaurant's dumpster at the height of summer than keeping up with the incidentals of your alpha gamer nerdgasm.

"the old balance is not". what part of THE COMPETITIVE GAME USES THE SAME SETTINGS AS IT DID 4 YEARS AGO do you not understand? there is no 'new' and 'old'. it's the same game, competitively speaking. nothing has changed. yes, raise (subjective) all you want, in parentheses. all it highlights is your (subjective) retardation.

your original post was in the context of me and pilot discussing competitive fps scenes. you said tf2 was too wonky to be seriously competitive. now you're saying you can't find a vanilla pub server to play in. so what is it? is tf2 a competitive bad game, because of a series of updates that haven't changed the competitive scene at all, or is tf2 a bad game because you can't find a pub server you like? choose one.

havent played yet game still in beta. if its anything like the first its definitely worth to get. Single player is much much harder than multiplayer lol... It's hugely complex strategy game coz you have logistics and must use multiple unit types otherwise you get instapwned. but a very very very fun game.

Tried the first one out on sp. Good game just done the first set of missions but I need to look after my units a bit better lol.
