So I've not been keeping up with the GPU market as much as I used to, and need some halp. I've got a client looking for a new computer, and he needs something quite special. I've worked out all the other components - just need to figure out the GPU. It basically needs as many outputs as possible, as he's looking to power 5-6 TVs and projectors off it at once. I remember about the 5990 times there was a card that had I think 4 or 6 mini display ports, is there anything like this?

Also cost really isn't an issue for this guy, so multiple cards could work too.

Single or multi-card solution?

e: preferably?
e2: if price really isn't an issue, you could just 2-way SLI some Titans (e3: if it's going to be gaming at all)

Prefer to keep the cost down if possible, raw horsepower isn't really the issue as it's not going to be gamed on, just need lots of outputs.

You could always go for some USB-VGA/DVI multi-monitor adaptors. The StarTech ones are decently rated.

There have been AMD options out there such as HD5870 and HD6870 Eyefinity versions (6 Mini DP connections). You can currently get a 6 Mini DP HD7870, but they certainly aren't cheap.

You might just be best off grabbing a couple of lower-end cards and running 3 off each.

Either use
- multiple normal cards
- one of those AMD eyefinity cards
- one normal card and a TripleHead2Go

Multiple normal cards is probably going to be the cheapest and most elegant solution.

If you're fine with DisplayPort and want single-card elegance,

VisionTek 900548 Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Eyefinity 6 Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814129262

Otherwise, multiple normal cards are a good idea. AMD's still a good choice.

Totally not exactly what I posted, because it's a different brand.

E: That possibly makes me sound like more of a dick than I was intending lol.

So here's where I'm at so far

CPU: i7-3770k
Mobo: Asus Maximus V Formula
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
Case: Fractal Design Define R4
PSU: Corsair CX750
GPU: Club-3D Eyefinity 6 7870

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Generatio … y+bridge+e
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-Maximus-Mo … la+Z77+ROG
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Vengean … =ddr3+16gb
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fractal-Design- … stone+case
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-B … orsair+psu
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Club-3D-Radeon- … yefinity+6

No point putting prices in because the company I work for is gonna have to put a mark up in anyway.

Gonna get 2x3TB drives for Raid1 for storage, what's the top dog of the SSDs right now?

Also if anyone could suggest any gadgets or extras that'd work well in this setup that'd be pretty cool.

For the SSD grab a Intel 520 in whatever size you need. Samsung 840 Pro's are pretty decent as well.

Any particular reason for the Maximus? Would features on the Deluxe like being able to use WiFi remotes/smartphones etc be more useful? I'm not really sure on the needs however.

what about cooling? you understand that you pretty much have to overclock that shit, right? because if you don't you are basically paying for power you never use.
if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.

3770K, HT is a big waste for most use.
Maximus V is waste unless you really want the best and/or overlock a lot.
Corsair CX Series power supplies are poor quality, get something else. Does the company offer Super Flower Golden Green/Platinum Series? If not then some Seasonic Platinum Series will do for example. <500W is enough.
GPU, if not gaming again a HUGE waste of money. But not a problem otherwise...

3570K + Decent cooler (for quietness)
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
16GB DDR3 1600MHz (<=1.5V)

Samsung 840 Pro [insert required size]GB
WD Red HDD [insert required size]TB
Super Flower Golden King Platinum 550W
Fractal R4

This seems useful if no gaming power is needed.
Noise free and no moving parts.

You definitely want to add several case fans (120mm or even 140mm) if you add several of those cards.
