No, I never heard of Academy decks. Are those like starter decks or something?Macbeth wrote:

yes, almost everyone has as hobby of some form. however it's rather incongruous to characterize yourself as the asian charlie sheen, when you are in fact playing around with fantasy-geek card-games and fussing over rulesets. it's very not-alpha.AussieReaper wrote:

good for him.
Arrived, suede-lined thumbreak makes me quiver all over, which can't be pleasant to watch but meh.
its alpha in the asian community.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

Mac, I was looking into selling my MTG cards. Most are from Odyssey. I played a squirrel deck. Want to buy roughly 500 cards (maybe 30 rares)?Macbeth wrote:
They are decks that are built in a way that allows you to win the game in one turn. They get their name from the main card of the build.

Basically the point was to build up enough mana (60+) and then make your opponent draw cards based off of how much mana you have. Since they can't draw cards that aren't there they end up instantly losing the game. Most of the cards are now banned in tournaments and haven't been reprinted so some of them are worth thousands. An Academy deck would cost about $20,000 to build. Only ever saw it IRL once.

No thanks. I don't play anymore. Don't even own any cards.Pochsy wrote:

Battery came a couple days ago and today I got a notice that the HDD arrived to the post office. For some reason it was signed as a registered letter. It's not even that expensive. Just $19.88. Anyhoo, gonna pick it up tomorrow.AussieReaper wrote:
