"Hipster" is a deflection, a scapegoat for embarrassment about your own shallow, novel interests. It's your boutique self you despise.
it makes sense that black americans would hate hipsters and gay people, because they are people who seem unconfined by norms in fashion and taste, whereas black culture in america is overwhelmingly homophobic and intolerant. hipsters are transgressive and individual, whereas mainstream black culture forces its adherents to suck white corporate dick and listen to thuggy rap music.
furthermore it is a widely known fact that black people are suspicious of arts and humanities students, and are quick to dismiss them as 'hipsters', because us census data shows that 9.3 out of every 10 black people have never and cannot in fact read a book. of the remaining .7 who have read a book, .5 of those written examples cited were the bible or quran, as black americans love to suck white man dick and arab overlord dick.

Spring is here. It is the start of another wonderful season of warmth.
The boiler room in LA pretty much hosts the best hip hop around.
Roc likes hip hop. Hip hop was the original hipster music. Roc is a self loathing hipster!

How do you explain black hipsters Uzi? An aberration?
shouldn't it be to you to explain blipsters? i don't really know many white hipsters, let alone any black ones.
actually my friend who owns/runs the boiler room is black. maybe i should ask him what he thinks about 'hipsters'. i'm sure he could keep you posted.

the girl who runs it though (sofie) is annoying as fuck. she only got the gig because she started dating the founder.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

i salute all black hipsters who stand up for their right to self-expression and individual style and taste, and say "no" to sucking the white man's corporate dick in modern day accountancy wage slavery. more power, brothers.

>tfw I was friendzoned by a hipster once.
We were drinking cheap wine alone in her apartment ffs lol.

is this the same hipster you said you got dumped by? or a different one? almost sounds like you have a hipster fetish.
and like i said back when you mentioned it the first time: it's fairly transparent that you hate all hipsters because one turned you down and bruised your ego.
so which one of the wolf kids in that video laughed at your dick, malteaser?

No it was a different one lol. I attract them, dunno why. And I don't actually hate hipsters. The other one definitely didn't laugh at my dick though, that's as far as I'm going lol.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

Yeah well I couldn't care less as long as they keep hosting solid hip hop. Its just a shame there is a serious lack of good hip hop these days. Dying genre for like the last 5 years at least.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

Mainstream Hip Hop has been a joke since 2004
fun fact for you: one of her main tag-alongs and friends is the new label manager of anticon. young 20-something guy. literature graduate from berkeley. pretty funny you say "there's no good hip-hop around", when the cool-nexus in LA basically centers around a london-centric BR taste-maker and a backpack hip-hopper.
lol Paramore, didn't that bitch post her tits on twitter?Uzique The Lesser wrote:

Also violence against anyone because you think they look stupid is wrong.
Have never really been a big fan of most anticon projects/offerings, at least on the hip hop side. I'm not saying there's no good hip hop around, I'm saying there's a serious lack of good NEW hip hop. I mean, seeing gza the first five times was cool. Its extremely hard to keep the stream of new hip hop flowing into my music collection. Its mostly discovering and re-discovering old acts and wading through the cesspool of absolute shit that is put out todayUzique The Lesser wrote:

What do you think of new artists like ASAP rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, Big Sean etc.?
I personally think the swag rap is over saturating the radio today and has no substance.
Prime example

i listened through all the anticon stuff a lot when i was like 17. white middle-class kid entry into hip-hop. that and typical crossover stuff like doom/madlib, and lots of wu tang. it seemed really fresh and exciting at the time, but listening back to a lot of it now, so much of it was totally pretentious bollocks. haha.
"Swag rap" has been oversaturating the radio since ma$e and eminem, at least. Shit has been bad since record companies found out they can exploit the shit out of it. You can see the cycles - alternative, hip hop, indie/folk and now electronic. Asap rocky and kendrick lamar should be properly classified as pop music.
the only asap rocky track i've heard all the way through is that one with the counter strike sample. and only for the novelty. i know he's done a few tracks based on clams casino beats, though... but i enjoy clams casino as an instrumental producer, and don't really give a shit about raps that are laid over the top. as for kendrick: i listened to the album a few times, it's about as decent as you'd expect any major record with that sort of money/producer pushing behind it. didn't blow my mind. can't believe it has managed to get the mainstream rap crowd and pitchfork-lite crowd all foaming at the same time. really didn't grab me.
a more interesting phenomenon in the UK, where swag rap and southern stuff (except outkast ofc) never really caught-on... is the whole odd future shit. skate-rap. i know 'real' rap fans hate that stuff as well. apparently skateboarding is gay to black people. i don't really like odd future, though from what i've heard of tyler's latest album it's his most mature (or rather least puerile). oh and earl sweatshirt is legitimately a good rapper. he's fun.

God I hate odd future and their new show on Adult Swim.
Most of their fans just like em for their shock value. Tyler can put out shit and his fans would still love it.

I like super jail
There are a lot of good rappers that put out trash. Muse are good musicians, undoubtably. But most of their music sucks.
I personally think wiz khalifa and mac miller are good rappers - its just that 95% of the stuff they put out is garbage.
Can't get into odd future. I'm sure those dudes have talent, but to your point it just sounds immature to me. I give it all a listen but beyond one or two tracks it just doesn't do it for me.
