I think Americans would be better off if we were more like Europeans and Canadians.
You can't be overweight and healthy? Fucking news to me. I played water polo for an hour and a half this afternoon. What did you do?Uzique The Lesser wrote:

I know people and football players who's BMI are over the average and are healthier than me. You can be medically overweight and healthy. Just like you can be skinny and healthy like I am.Superior Mind wrote:

not be at increased risk of heart disease and diabetes, that's what. just sitting here. oh and i lifted weights. i'm going for a jog in the morning, too, as part of my thrice weekly cardio. you know, normal, average, not-overweight person stuff. hahahaha.Jay wrote:

I ran five miles a day in the army, did a million pushups, and weighed 240. BMI cutoff for 'overweight' at my height and age is 207 pounds. I haven't weighed 207 since I was 17 years old.Roc18 wrote:

we're not talking about the BMI, which is unreliable in extreme/specific cases. nobody is saying american football players are going to die soon. we are talking about obesity. overweight as a result of too much body-fat. not over-weight because you are a champion weight-lifter. jesus christ you are thick.Roc18 wrote:

i think you are in denial, jay, if i'm honest. in all your pictures you post the "i'm not fat, i'm big boned!" talk looks about as convincing as when cartman delivers the line.Jay wrote:

I'm reminded of mandatory seatbelt laws first being introduced and the same justification was used for resisting it on the basis of "I can do what I want". It's that sort of person who equates our societys "freedom" with "being able to whatever I want".
People always quote the BMI index when they talk about people being overweight. That's why I scoff at their statistics.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

Yes, I am fat now. So what? I can still outrun you in a sprint.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

I live a sedentary lifestyle, I work in an office, I haven't gained or lost weight in six years. I absolutely hate, hate, hate going to the gym but will play team sports all day long every day if given the opportunity.

the actual "problem" is that you don't seem to realize when you've had more a healthy amount of daily sugar intake, and to stop drinking just-because "it tastes good", or tickles your brain receptors, again. you don't need 4 large cokes a day. you are taking years off your life for the most transient of pleasures.Roc18 wrote:

The soda ban doesn't even affect me, but unlike others, I recognize it as opening Pandora's Box regarding unelected public health officials being able to legislate the life choices of others. It's too bad that others are willing to trade their freedom away so lightly. It makes me sad.

lol. what? you can still outrun me in a sprint? haha. where do you get this stuff from. haven't you teased me in the past about being a competitive tennis player? i've run cross-country since my school-days. i ran track 100m and 250m for my school athletics team. hahahah. why do you even bring up these pointless and absurd claims? you are fat. stop being in denial. you can "outrun" me in the same way the local bar's drawling drunk can "take someone in a fight". i have a slim body-type and carry very little weight or non-toned muscle. i am basically made for running. you are made for eating hog. it's just plain funny you assert these silly brags, out of nowhere, for nothing. it only brings your delusion into sharper relief.Jay wrote:

Believe what you want man. I used to love running before the army destroyed my knees. I can still motor quite well for short distances, longer distances and I'm liable to cough up a blackened lungUzique The Lesser wrote:
