I live and work in Calgary, i'm back doing vehicle electrics kinda thing (I fucking hate it but I can do it standing on my head), (also i'm actually considering applying for a job in oil and gas, it pays a lot of money, I could tough a year out up there and be financially secure for a couple years and perhaps get my ski instructors license). I can't work in the prisons here (not that i think i want to) because its deemed a conflict of interests as I was granted a career break from the HM Prison Service, of which I have to either return or resign by August 2014. I like Calgary very much, i've been to Vancouver, Edmonton (what a boring shit hole), Kelowna and Kamloops. Kelowna is stunning in the summer, jawdropping in fact, expensive tho and also not helped by BC taxes.

I've heard that working on the oil rigs makes insane amounts of money. If I had serious student debt or wanted to save up I'd do that for some quick cash.
