Am I the only one who remembers when baggs was a huge cunt around here? Funny shift.
It's called 'a personality', you should try it some time.Macbeth wrote:

Mad dogs and running men was brought to you by ATG. So was ee chats. He did more to ruin this site than any simpleton mod such as myself.
My mod role goes as far as deleting silly little posts in the 5 threads I read. It involves clicking a couple boxes.
Please go on baggs.

However, a prison OFFICER is a fantastic job.
I have a cousin and uncle who are guards. They are allowed to carry guns in public.13/f/taiwan wrote:

Oh, now you have something against clean sex
it is the lowest level job you could have in the criminal justice field. least trained, least paid, tons of stress and no genuine "satisfaction." the only good thing that comes with it is the job security/benefits which are slowly starting to fade away.
Nope. Off duty too.baggs wrote:

It also allows you to hassle and terrorize grown men. I am looking forward to imposing my will on high schoolers once I become a teacher.13/f/taiwan wrote:

I'm not sure which countries justice system you are referring to?13/f/taiwan wrote:

In my career as an Officer it was relatively well paid to start with, but we had a pay scale, the best part of the job was the fighting, I must admit. Getting to batter some real piece of shit when they decided they wanted to play up, was hilarious fun, watching them melt as you get the locks on.
Add to that I worked along side some of the most influential and inspiring people I have ever had the fortune to meet, it's a pretty good job to be an Officer in the HM Prison Service.
Also the most effective job in the criminal justice system.13/f/taiwan wrote:

Wow, in the UK, whilst on duty in pulic we could carry our batons and we had the powers of a police constable if the need should arise to arrest a member of the public whilst we were on escort or visits.Macbeth wrote:

Hmm interesting. Keep us updated.
baggs did you sneak drugs, cellphones and other contraband into the prison so the inmates wouldn't kill you? i asked an inmate a similar question when i was on a prison visit with my class. the guy probably got his ass beat by the guards later that night while i was enjoying some ice cream. good times.
maybe in the UK baggs. in the US it is the worst job in the criminal justice system and least effective. all they do is move people through the system. a small percentage are 'rehabilitated' and come out(if they are released) as 'model citizens.'baggs wrote:
