Just took my car in for a service, my mechanic called me back and said on top of the service I need new timing belt and front brakes. Gonna end up costing close to $900, I had hoped it was going to cost around $200.

It's sitting on around 85,200+ km right now so I know the timing belt isn't far off. Makes sense to get it done now than book it in in a few months time with a mechanic I don't know. Also, I'm driving to Sydney this weekend with a trailer so if he says brakes need to be done, I'll get them done.
