I eat whatever I feel like eating, but I mostly eat macrobiotically for health reasons which I'd rather not share on this forum. I do a little yoga every morning because it makes me feel good. I have a normal fascination with all life forms.

I don't wear trendy clothing or have ironic facial hair or hang out in williamsburg or bushwhick.

In some parts of NYC there are people like that everywhere.

I am a person who grew up in an extremely culturally diverse place, born of parents who also grew up in Brooklyn, during the 1950s, and lived their youths during the 60s. Instead of latching onto a single minded dominator culture which fears anything slightly other and persecutes it as gay or retarded or devilish, I had free reign to pick and choose ideas and customs from other cultures which I thought were interesting or intelligent and well developed.

The hippies are regarded as having contributed a great deal to American and global culture. And they too were called "hip" in a derogatory fashion by god fearing crew cuts.
