Lobsters are horrendous looking. But taste pretty good. When I see people cracking into lobsters with their hands it looks like some kind of prehistoric display of insectavory.

My dad is a sailor and has belonged to a yacht club since I was about 5. In no way is the yacht club a center for champagne sipping and chin raising. It's a place for regular people to drink and socialize and share their passion for boating. And many of those people are not wealthy at all. A boat costs about as much to own as a nice foreign car.

My wife loves lobster but I've never really understood why. Would you eat lobster without clarified butter? No, probably not, so is it the lobster you like or the clarified butter?

I never eat lobster with butter. I actually enjoy the taste of the meat. Fat will always taste good, why ruin the subtle flavors of a delicate bottom crawling monster?

The only time I eat lobster is when we make our yearly trek out to Montauk. I think it's boring and incredibly overpriced
