Depends on where you were enslaved. If you were enslaved by the Iberians you had a short life span but often had the opportunity to buy your way out. If you were sent to the British colonies you would live a long life of servitude. I am a little light on French colonial history regarding slavery.

This was later and I said buy not let. The Spanish slave system was amazingly complex. Nothing like the U.S. also the Spanish and Portuguese were working their slaves to death. In America they breed them. The Portuguese worked them to death all the way till the late 19th. The Spanish moderated.Pochsy wrote:

I just had to send possibly the silliest email to a potential employer ever. They insisted applications be done only through their forms, and you cannot mail them, and you cannot fill them in manually and re-scan them. I couldn't get either of the phone # fields to work, so I used the "highlight fields" tool on Acrobat and, sure enough, there are no writable fields there. I had to send them an email asking them to either update the form or let me print it and re-scan it, which may fuck up their filing.

I need a 4 month position, so my options are fairly limited. It pays more than what I was doing before, but I'd still take my old job if they'll have me back.
