How much did you weigh, with all your combat gear on? Most I've carried so far was a 200lb poolee across a football field and back while jogging. Yes, yes I am fucking skinny. I am absolutely not weak.
I think I read somewhere that you weighed 220. If you had an Interceptor on and full combat load I"m going to say you were 260. I can't carry that. I'd cover while somebody else carried you.
Please read the op
well, there's hope for shitfy getting in at least. it would be sad if all the women in his training squad made it in, and left him behind . . .
Just got my waiver today. If there's any reason I don't get in it's for my eyesight. They asked for three waivers. Basically different opinions for the same reason "Nah we want a second opinion, third...etc."
I think I will do just fine in the Corps if they let me in. I want to be a combat engineer or an avionics mechanic.
edit: The female poolees are now required to do pullups just as the men are, so the physical standard for the Marines is rising for females. What TY said was fantastic and what Jay said in OP was too so I'm split right now. I have no doubt the girls I've seen who've shipped off to boot camp will be good Marines but I don't think they're cut-out for combat. The female DI that visited us was definitely cut out for combat but she was admin before being a DI and now she's admin again.
