I'd be a little less suspicious of conservatives if they also were against the war on drugs. Shifty says the US gov't is not a big brother and doesn't care about drugs or sex? lololol. Texas had sodomy laws as late as 10 years ago. And 10 minutes later he advocates banning abortion. The cognitive dissonance is astounding.
No, your assumption that I'm cognitively dissonant is a by product of your reading comprehension leaving something to be desired. This is what I believe.
The Government should be kept to a minimum. States should hold much more authority and decide how they want to run their states. Personal freedom should be much broader. I believe the government should not have laws saying when we can finally drink or have sex. Drugs should be legal. People should not be punished for drinking or using drugs, they should be punished for the stupid things they do that drinking and drugs might be a byproduct of. For example, if somebody gets piss drunk and high then goes driving he shouldn't be able to drive for a while. Unless it puts others at great risk or if somebody or something is injured/damaged then it shouldn't be punished. This would also get rid of the war on drugs which is a big corrupt mess we're all reacting to with a facepalm.gif
Guns shouldn't be regulated either. It's our right as Americans by the Constitution to have guns. The government shouldn't be able to say which kinds of guns we can and cannot posses. Less than 1% of the population used guns to commit a crime in 2011 and yet you people advocate 99% of the US population gets regulated for it. Where's the reasoning in that?
Oh yeah, abortion...That should be illegal. It's murder in my book, but I understand that you guys don't all agree and we'll have to agree to disagree on that.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
