It was either dig up wiki links to the musicians responsible for these or add more of my favorites. I chose the latter. I'm going to restrict them to non-movie games, or if I add those, then ones that modify the movie theme. I've got literally hundreds of favorite tracks, but I'm not going to bog down this thread with an all-encompassing list. Leaving out consoles for now.

If I find the last post of this sort I made, I'll link to it.

Jack Wall's music for Mass Effect one and two has always struck me as an incredibly fitting soundtrack as well as being very good. In terms of original scores for games, (which unfortunately excludes Faunts' "M4 Part 2" over the credits of ME1 and "Heart of Courage" in ME2,) it would probably be my favourite.

This is why it sucks that Wall is being replaced for the finale. Clint Mansell is a very very capable composer, he has created masterpieces - but I don't want him for Mass Effect three, I want Jack Wall. Wall's music is responsible for a lot of what gave Mass Effect the feeling it had. Removing him now runs the risk of Mass Effect 3 feeling too different which is a foolish thing to do at the end of what should be an epic trilogy. You wouldn't replace John Williams with James Horner for Return of the Jedi and you shouldn't replace Jack Wall with Clint Mansell for Mass Effect 3.

I haven't played Crysis 2 yet, but sifting through the soundtracks here it got me somewhat interested. Honestly, just listen to this piece, it's absolutely magnificent;

Such a great track in a game, beautiful. The gaming industry and the people behind it are getting better by the decade.

Final fantasy games.
They had some cool classical scores, although lately theyve been trying to cram in trance and pop like music that sucked.
