Some of my mates did a few burglaries when they were 16/17. I stopped associating with them at that time. They got caught a few months later and the possessions returned, plus the victims got paid out by Victims of Crime. One spent a month in prison whilst he attended court and was let out on two years good behaviour. He is now managing his family's business and is a parent to seven children. He is a very productive member of society and has not done anything wrong since he was a wayward youth for six months. The other is married and parent of three kids and manages a sheet metal fabrication business where he has been employed for 12 years. They pay taxes and contribute their part to society.
