Basic List of Features...

-AM2 Design
-NVIDIA LinkBoost
-EPP enabled RAM(SLI-RAM)
-six native SATA 3Gb/s(no PCI-E bus to go through)
-NVIDIA nTune 5.0 & new control panel(basically all the overclocking settings you use in the BIOS located in the GUI. Pretty nifty for those novice tweakers)
-DualNet(basically SLI for NIC's. Enable 2GB/s speeds by using 2x 1GB connections)
-And LOTS MORE!

The foxconn boar that Guru3D used has a pretty cool layout, and looks pretty good...Still not much of a reason to upgrade to AM2 with the Conroe release right around the corner...Also I just got 2GB of DDR RAM, so itd be kinda useless....

the nforce 590 intel version supports conroe and current intel cpu's, so if u look to upgrade to conroe, theres a board

Some corrections and some notes to point out...

EPP for RAM is nothing more than an extension to the SPD found on today's RAM.  They house additional information that help simplify setting RAM timings up on a custom clocked system.  It's in no way a SLI for the RAM, since that's what multi-channel memory is for.

DualNet is something not all that new considering the concept of using multiple NIC's for larger bandwidth and throughput has been in use in the server environment for a while.  However, the problem is that this (using two NICs in conjunction) will end up doing nothing for the consumers in general.  With what broadband offers in the US today, there's absolutely no use or need for this kind of stuff.  On the other hand, it opens up the possibility of clustering.

While I like the new chipset features... I cannot bring myself to say that it's something I would need in the end.  The numerous SATA ports is perhaps a good welcome for those who have multiple HDs at their disposal.  Sadly, I'm not biting the bait here.

I don't know if this'll be of any good.. the most that I'll ever need is the SLI model and that isn't saying much.

true about all that you said there, except for the dualnet....

Most of the time when people get a board with dual LAN, they think, "OMGZ, TWICE THE BANDWIDTH." And all it is is what you mentioned, faster computer to computer speeds...This time however, Nvidia has taken the same principal they use in SLI, and have applied it to the NIC's. This is the first mainstream board that can physically have 2GB/s speeds if both LANS are used....

Id suggest reading the article for a better understanding of the board...but ya, I agree with the sata thing, Who needs 6x SATA ports?!?

i think that for a consumer dual lan is a waste, comeon who has a hub that supports gigabit connections. I find myself pretty techy, but i only have a 100 one. And it doesnt help internet speeds, only pc to pc inside the lan. Also you soon get close to the max. write of the mainstream hds (excluding raid 0/raptors/cheetahs)

for the 6 SATA ports. If my DVD and HDs were all SATA i would use exactly 6 ports. Guess why most manufacturers add another SATA controler into the mobos.

I personally would have liked if they had kept the 2nd IDE channnel

My IDE channels are being used by 2 different DVD burner drives right now...It makes CD to CD copying a WHOLE lot faster...

Yaa, I guess alot of Mobos already have 6 SATA prots, but all six on this chipset go straight to teh bus, as opposed to the otehrs where four go to the bus, and the others have to go through the PCI-E bus and then to the SATA bus....

Alls I knows is I want a Conroe pretty damn bad...

so why dont you like the nforce 590 SLI chipset then??? Its currently the biggest and baddest there is. Also many optical drives now come with sata

I do. Two 74GB's (one for apps, the other for OS's) and two 250GB's (storage). So, I have four SATA hard drives. When SATA DVD writers are released and work as prescribed (the Plextor one has some problems), I would use the remaining two slots. I have one DVD writer and 1 CD writer in another computer, and the external DVD writer on top of this computer is beginning to wear out. I estimate another few months' use out of it before it earns a proud resting place on my mantlepiece.
