Went to see my cousins new 27" 1080P LG monitor last night.  The fuckin thing came with VGA cables and an adapter, WTF

Went back to my house and got a single link DVI cable and brought it back over, much better

That's a $350 monitor though, why the hell wouldn't it have come with DVIs?

Nope, it only had VGA and DVI on it, no integrated speakers as far as I could tell, nor any HDMI slot

Oh, I thought you meant it only had a VGA port.

No, but I have read about such monitors while researching something.  Some guy bought three VGA 1080P monitors with no HDMI or DVI, either that or he was too stupid to find them

question:

I was working a computer and before I started anything I set a system restore point. I managed to get some of the issues solved but not all so it's sitting in this half-fixed, jalopy of a state. I can restore it back and re-fix the issues I know were messed up and not mess anything else up or leave it as is.
Is it possible set another system restore point, then go back to that old one, see if i can do anything different and if not go back (forward) to the 2nd restore point (the most recent one, i.e. forward in time)? If i go back and can't do anything else and it sucks even more I want to not have to re-do all the stuff i did.

God that doesn't make sense at all but i hope you get what I'm saying.

You should be able to create as many Restore points as you want.  Just name/describe them accordingly, so you know which one is which.

Be advised though, Restore points are not 100% sure fire restore to exactly what it was at restore point.  I prefer working with Imaged drives.

I notice on newer OSes like 7, System Restore actually works a good part of the time.  I'd never even consider it on XP though

Downloaded Office 2013 ISO.  Grumbled a bit about creating an install disk.  Double-clicked iso, saw setup.exe file, installed.  Windows 8 supports native ISO and VHD mounting. Fuck yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just another one of the reasons why I loved using 8.  I just wish they supported all of the other image file extensions too but you can only ask for so much.

Microsoft never managed to support any other compressed archives than ZIP either.

I knew it won't go well. Pump making very loud high pitched electrical noise and rattling.

I noticed when installing my H-cooler that the pump made a bit of noise for a minute or so and then quieted right down.
