Yup it counts as a mass shootingOh and in before someone 'cleverly' points out that the Ak-47 was actually a WASR semi auto that looked like an AK-47OLD BRIDGE — Three people are dead after an employee at the Old Bridge Pathmark armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and an automatic pistol opened fire inside the store early this morning, killing two young store workers before turning one of the weapons on himself, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan said.
The two victims, an 18-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were both from the township, Kaplan said.
Kaplan said the shooter, identified as a 23-year-old township man, appeared to have been a former member of the military.
The man had apparently finished his shift, but returned about 3:30 a.m. armed with the weapons and multiple magazines. He started firing randomly, hitting the two employees, Kaplan said.
All three of the dead were assigned to the overnight shift at the store, on Route 9 near the Sayreville border.
"I don't believe they were specifically targeted. I believe everyone was targeted,” Kaplan said.

EMPLOYEE 1: “We’re locked in a back room. We locked ourselves in.” (Heavy breathing). “Please hurry up … hurry up, please.” (Dispatcher). … “Just try and relax.” “I don’t want to die, please.”
http://articles.nydailynews.com/2012-09 … y-man-shotFriends and family of the New Jersey man shot dead by a Pathmark co-worker laughed through tears at his funeral Wednesday.
One pal recalled the long list of outrageous nicknames earned by the late Bryan Breen, 24, ranging from Star Diva to Sour Patch Kid.
"He was bright and full of information, both useful and not," the teary-eyed friend told the overflow crowd of some 300 mourners at the Old Bridge Funeral Home in Old Bridge, N.J. "Like history, or what to do when a car overheated, or song meanings. He was always the one to text when you couldn't sleep, usually because he was wide awake himself."
"He wouldn't sugarcoat or hold anything back," he added. "That's how I got a ticket: Bryan told a cop how to do his job."
Breen was slain Friday when his colleague Terence Tyler, 23, left the Old Bridge Pathmark only to return with an AK-47 and an automatic handgun. Tyler, a former Marine rifleman hired only two weeks before, came back dressed in camouflage killed Breen and another employee and then himself, police say. Thirteen other workers escaped.
Breen's uncle was too overcome to speak at the funeral and had to have another relative read his speech, which recalled Breen bringing his homemade cookies every year to family holiday parties.
Jesus Christ, when will people just learn to accept that being able to own unregistered pieces of metal that contain the explosion of gunpowder is more important than the lives of their loved ones?! Why do these people think they are entitled to not die just because they have a pulse? They are the opposite of a net plus for society.
