Raining for the first time in months. Should even have a storm (first of many for the summer).
I wonder where that Hurricane is gonna directly hit the East coast, hopefully New York or New England. I've had to deal with Pepco dragging their feet twice this year already, took four days to get my power back when it went out in July, I was one of the last ones too. Thankfully Baltimore Gas & Electric helped out my county after they did all of their areas
Not looking forward to this hurricane. Potential for up to a week without power, plus I work in a hotel with no generators so if power goes out I'm gonna have to deal with some bullshit.
I live in the NYC area (the developed part of America), I shouldn't have to deal with natural disasters.

The power utility here is so awful that I'm really worried about losing power for an extended period of time. It didn't go out during the derecho but these winds will be just as strong and last for several hours as opposed to 20 minutes. Might have to go to my mom's apartment (they usually don't lose power) if we're out for more than a few days.

Just realized my part of PG is actually covered by BGE but you probably have shitty ass Pepco, I would just an hero if they were my power company. I hope whoever is governor next actually holds them accountable for shit instead of just wagging their finger at them every time they get lazy and then continue to sit in their pockets like O'Malley
