What I love about this game

I was in the heat of one of those Suburb --> Train Station assaults at Karkand that go slowly level by level down the ramp. Coming from the Suburb as AT, I grabbed a ride in a jeep down, then hopped out when we got to the fighting.
I could hear the MEC APCs guns as it drove up the ramp and started tearing apart my teammates. I ran up to the ledge next to some Support and Assault guys overlooking the MEC forces, and hit the APC with a quick rocket before proning. The APC backed off a bit and I begged my rocket to reload before the damn thing came back.
Finally, I got the rocket reloaded and crawled forwards into position behind the ledge. Then disaster struck; an enemy SpecOps soldier somehow got up the ramp and ran right over top of me with his carbine in hand. Too close and fast to hit him with a rocket and no time to switch to the DAO.
But somehow I just kept my head screwed on and thought "that's not my job."
I just stood up and killed the APC.
That swarm of Assault and Support guys cringing from the APC were watching my back and they murdered the SpecialOps MEC before he could bat an eye.

That's what I love about this game.

Yeah gotta love those intense fights like that...good job doing what you're supposed to do by taking out that APC...and thankfully you had competent players around you who took care of the threat...if it had been me I would have been killed by the spec ops guy first and then he would have been killed...but such is my luck...anyway kudos on having an experience that you won't forget for a while...

IMO, with a decent team, Karkand can be one of the best maps for decent combat. However, lately, I seem to play it when there are nothing but armour wh0res around.

Yer karkand i would say would be the best CQC map for BF2 ...

Non stop action all the way .. thats if you can get away from spawn without getting artied.....

i love everything about this game... even the stupid ass bugs. It's entertaining to listen to peeps bitch and moan about how everyone sucks but them and they are the most leet uber butt pounder in the whole world, only to get fuckin owned by everyone in the map. It's even more fun when a team, or even a squad works together to just dominate the hell out of the other team. It's gratifing to me to know that i'm not going to get knifed, c4'd, etc 'cause the squad is lookin after one another.

What I love about the game is the capping of the flags with squad mates, just today I was a squad leader and my entire squad was the only squad out there capping the flags. On Karkand we were pinned down and we put so much damage on the mecs that we were able to finally push through and capture 3 flags. Capturing the flag with your squad is best satisfaction I get from the game, people actually working together.

I love wake when its 90% ground combat, and you dont get bombed every min, but how often does that happen.
Proper squad play is by far the best thing this game has to offer, but agian how often does that happen unless your in a clan??.
