Half the keys don't work any more... At first it was just shift being held constantly, but then it switched to P, then CTRL, now a specific section of the board.

I'm pretty certain it was dry, but... Fuck. I can't even buy this keyboard any more and it was the best fucking board in the world.

Can't seem to find a new one that I like... Sad times.

This is my replacement:

So fucking leet.
Not that it matters but, I think you've got your up and down arrows switched, no joke. Usually the arrow symbol is on the left side of the key.
It's a Google image.

Also, I bought it as a spare from one of those over-priced crappy "tech" shops where you just know they have no idea.

I think I'm gonna try out Chrome for a while now, I've had it with Firefox shitting its pants whenever I use Flash and the memory leaks causing it to use almost a gig for less than 10 tabs.  As it is, FF just lost all my tabs when I closed the process because Flash was making it unresponsive again, now I open it back up and start from scratch and I can't even open Gmail in just the 2nd tab without it completely freezing.

It is so pathetic is makes me sick to keep using it.  Firefox uses 176MB of memory while open with only two tabs, I already have 10 tabs open in Chrome and it's only using 98MB.  So far so good

I'd love to make the switch to chrome but the one thing that gets me is the saved passwords and history. I've got so used to the way FF does it that I can't make the switch.

I turn off everything except saved passwords and only when I start typing in my username for whatever site does it fill in, NOT when I first get to the site (ex: I'll start to log into BF2s and type "p" in the username field and it will THEN autofill "pirana6" as well as the password). All other security options are turned off. I've noticed this only works if I type my username and passwords into whichever sites I want them saved the first time I install firefox THEN go into the settings and turn off "save usernames and passwords". The few I did before that did save while no new ones do (which I like).
I also select 'don't save anything I type into the URL bar' which does exactly that in FF. When I do the same for Chrome it only deletes everything ON EXIT. The whole time I keep the browser open it remembers everything I typed into the URL bar for that session. Not good if I fap then keep the browser open and later my roommate walks in and wants me to go to some website.

Why don't you just use private browsing in Firefox or open an incognito window in Chrome?  They're both porn modes that don't remember any history, cookies or passwords and then the browser loads all your regular stuff right back up again when you exit them.  That's one thing about Firefox I already miss because private browsing backs up all your other tabs and takes over the entire process so opening URL files from the desktop(or folder you have it saved to) works as normal

With Chrome, Incognito windows are run separately from regular ones(where the history & all are still recorded) and opening URL files always defaults to opening the link in a regular un-private window(recording your history and everything) even if you only have an Incognito window open, and so far I haven't found any way around it other than to manually drag the link file from the folder into the Incognito windows to open it up in a new tab every single time.  I could get used to it I guess but it's very clumsy

What should I name the new server at work? We have sorta a Elizabethan/Shakespeare theme going on already. It won't be a DC or anything important, its just gonna hold all our IT install crap.

I name my stuff after local geography. If you want to go Shakespeare and do any sort of traffic prioritization, use "Shylock."

We have a name: Apollo. Don't know why I chose that one, probably cause it's short and doesn't take long to type when I need shit off it.

Sony PlayStation 4 "Orbis" Kits Shipping to Developers, Powered by AMD A10 APU

techpowerup wrote:

According to a VG 24/7 report, Sony began shipping development kits of its upcoming game console, PlayStation 4, codenamed "Orbis" to developers. The kit is described as being a "normal sized PC," driven by AMD A10 "Trinity" APU, and 8 or 16 GB of memory. We've known from reports dating back to April that Sony plans to use a combination of APU and discrete GPU, similar to today's Dual Graphics setups, where the APU graphics core works in tandem with discrete mid-range GPU. The design goal is to be able to play games 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, with 60 Hz refresh rate, and with the ability to run stereo 3D at 60 Hz. For storage, the system has a combination of Blu-ray drive and 250 GB HDD. Sony's next-generation game console is expected to be unveiled "just before E3," 2013.
