10/10 The Avengers

What Rogue posted was one of my favorite parts but my all time favorite was the part where Loki says "Stop it you brute, I'm a GOD!" and the Hulk smashes him and says, "Puny god."

7/10 The Arrow (show) premier

Has a lot of potential, pretty decent pilot. I think it'll be alright.

I do feel they should have kept in some of the extended scenes Spoiler (highlight to read):
Particularly when the Engineer invades the lifeboat and Shaw fights with him, but it was a lot better than I expected actually. Lots of little clues and whatnot.

I actually really disliked The Avengers. It felt so cheesy, like I'm suppose to get a hard-on when two good guy superheros fight and the CGI is meant to blow my mind. I couldn't shake the feeling that the whole thing was constructed so I could time my ejaculations with the highs and lows of the film without getting a sore wrist. The actually story was also pretty bad. Very bad. But what can I expect from a superhero movie after seeing The Dark Knight.

this

Charlize Theron is starting to get old though

edit: Nvm she's 32... guess I wasn't used to seeing her all CGI'd and nice in Huntsman and then seeing her normally in Prometheus

Maybe they will make another one, where all plot holes and stupid moves made are explained and you go "Oh! Now it all makes sense!". But I don't think that's possible.

No way they could possibly fix the stupidity of the plot of Prometheus. It had all the visuals nailed, all it needed was a good plot and they couldn't even nail that. They had so much to work with and off of (from Alien) and they messed up.

Things like the navigator who has no issues finding his way around decides to leave with a buddy and he can't find his way out. Really? The guy being afraid of holograms and sees an alien penis-snake-thing and is like "oh lets pet it!" Those are the LITTLE continuity flaws, not even the massive plot holes and things that didn't make sense.

Also, why would weyland assume that the engineers would help him live forever, if they were even there?

haha nice post

As for plot holes the black goo was extremely inconsistent and didn't make any sense. It would turn some into mutants, dissolve an engineer, supposedly create humans, make a xenomorph-birthing face-hugger within a human, etc. It never did the same thing twice.

The engineers created humans but now suddenly want to wipe out the human race?

There's a lot of other shit too like:

Shaw sort of forgets she gave birth to an ALIEN in the freaking ship wtf? Oh hey guys nothing new here I just had major surgery and gave birth to a terrifying alien over there but pay no attention to that. Oh and I can run a marathon after surgery too, ya know.

I'm not going to go over all the crap, but this site lists just about all the plot holes.

There's a subplot running throughout the movie that I guess you missed.

Jesus was an engineer and we cruicified him. For that, the engineers decide we are not worthy of life. Intend to remake the Earth, just as the first engineer sacrificed himself. You need to destroy to create.

How you missed all of that, I have no idea. Shaw was a huge "faith" blah blah blah character I thought you would have connected with.

i just watched rise of the planet of the apes and i'm confused as to how it was so well-received.

the CGI was cool enough but decisions made and most of the plot was unbelievable on so many different levels

Cabin in the Woods

7/10

far better than I was expecting. Worth the watch if you've ever watched one of those teenagers lost in the woods attacked by zombie/vampire/werewolf etc movies.

Still think Tucker & Dale vs Evil is way better though.
